This was a song I despised when it came out in the late 90s, along with the band Cake. I have since developed an appreciation for this song and Marcy's Playground. I still want to jam pencils through my eardrums any time I hear Cake, though.

Sex and Candy reminds me of a girl I knew in college. Her name was Candace and when this song came out in ‘97, I was what I thought, the lucky recipient of unlimited sex to this song. But I quickly realized that much like the band, she got old quick. To this day, I have to turn it off/change the station, still can’t listen to it.
