So...I'm getting ready to transfer my bourbon barrel porter to secondary. I have my carboy soaking and figure instead of doing the SMART thing and using my star san spray bottle to sanitize my hydrometer, I'll "kill two birds with one stone" and drop it into the star san soak for a few while i'm getting my other stuff prepped.
Well...if you know anything about science and force and gravity and all that....dropping weighted thin glass, into water, that is held in other thick sturdy glass..... you probably get the idea.
It was a brandy dandy new one too. Sigh... good thing I had a backup. Now on to sanitize a different secondary so that my bourbon barrel porter isn't bourbon barrel glass and lead porter...
