In celebration of finishing my final exam today, I’m smoking a Byron and cracked open the bottle of Weller that @bfreebern gifted me at the start of this semester. Thank you @bfreebern , this stuff is amazing.

I might not be the best person to give a review with my limited experience, but I would say the draw was effortless and it had some nice notes of leather and pepper that were throughout the entire stick. The burn wasn’t the best, a little wavy, that got better in the last third. All in all, I did enjoy it!!!

Phil these are pretty interesting cigars. Unlike the Cohiba maduros which were a very dark wrapper almost black these are less so. Smoking profile on these have a slight sweetness followed by the trademark Partagas spice. I would call these a medium to full strength cigar. I've smoked through a box of these. Highly recommended, only down side is the premium price on these.
This would be an excellent after dinner cigar with either a VSOP or port. YMMV

They sounds excellent - I found the cm5 so uncharacteristic of cohiba I totally forgot I smoked a bunch of those at release until you mentioned them. Been years since I had one but i remember thinking the wrapper just wasn’t a good match for the Cohiba profile (especially at cohiba price point).

The few of those I have smoked lately have been good. But I am interested to hear if Chester had the same thoughts as me; I have found them to be kind of dry...not the cigar itself per-say, but its like it gives me cotton mouth or something??

That's the first one I smoked and was good, didn't notice and cotton mouth but was drinking a soda with it. Will have to pay attention next one.

buddy of mine and his wife came over for dinner, so I told him to go pick us out two sticks and he came back with these two mammoths.... I think he did pretty good... paired nice with a little bourbon
