Today's Smoke 2021

Loved them both. The Sin Compromiso was very oaky throughout (I think that's what I was getting), and there was no harshness to it at all. Only complaint was that it wasn't a smoke bomb, and I felt that if I let it rest for too long it would go out quickly. Didn't have that problem, though, and I enjoyed it immensely. Boxworthy, for sure, if a good deal is found. The Protocol was a first for me from any of their line. It WAS a smoke bomb, and though I was afraid it was slightly underpacked because it was kind of squishy, it burned and smoked quite well. Not sure about a full box, but I'd definitely smoke it again and keep a few on hand. Thank you again, my friend!
Same company I sent to @CgarDan the blind from and he mentioned construction being an issue. Two different people from two different countries saying the same thing makes one wonder (Protocol, are you listening?). I had a construction issue with one as well, but really enjoyed the other 6 or so that I've had. The Sin Compromiso is one of my favorites at this point in my newbie journey.

JoeMO sent me a Protocol Probable Cause and I really liked that thing, bought a box (only come 10/box) off Famous Auction for $55 IIRC.

Another one kann mentioned on the VHerf was the Espinosa Laranga (orange label). JoeMO sent one of those, too, and I thought it was good enough - but on the mild side - that I looked at what else they have. Come to find out they make a Laranja Reserva Escuro that's a lot more on the deeper/fuller taste profile so I got a 10/box of those, too, for about what the Protocols cost. And these are pretty much what I had hoped they'd be.

Interestingly enough, the Protocols appear to be rolled in Erik Espinosa's La Zona factory in Nicaragua, but the Laranga Reserva Escuro appears to be rolled at San Lotano's factory. Espinosa's site makes no mention of the Laranga Reserva Escuro.

FWIW, I've had no burn issues with the Protocols I've smoked (3 I think) or the Larangas.

Very tasty, I enjoyed it alot, but it burned a little sideways and tunneled towards the end, but it was a damn good cigar!!! Probably the better of the NBK I have had.

Agreed. I like it more than the original NBK.

T110?

Nah, that has T110 on the band.
