Today's Smoke 2025

‘02 Punch Margaritas 4 3/4 X 26 - been many years since I smoked one of these which were an early favorite when I got hooked on panetelas. Straight black espresso, fig newton, burnt sugar (cotton candy), super rich condensed smoke. Insane smoke volume from this skinny little devil. A bit further in some cinnamon. First time in a long while for one of my favorite notes to appear. Brings to mind teen years back at the local mall wolfing down Cinnabon. Just sweet, decadent cinnamon roll flavors. Had to relight twice as I was smoking too slow trying to extend the life of this incredible cigar. Kudos to the blender and roller. Managed to get 40 minutes out of it.

‘03 H. Upmann Magnum 46 Cab - distinct sourdough buttered toast, unreal retro silky, satin, goose down smooth. This one approaching the best Mag46 I’ve smoked and I’ve smoked lots. Perfect in every way. Construction is off the charts. Retro is all leather & cream. 90 mins of Havana perfection. Highly recommended.

Finally getting a chance to have a smoke, first in several days. Nearing the end of the Monster Smash box with the Tiff (Ecuador Connecticut wrapper).

Not usually my favorite wrapper, which continues to be the case. Initial flavor mostly of cedar, with some grass and tanginess, and a hint of sweetness occasionally. But then a whole other concern arises: it starts taking multiple successive puffs to get any smoke, and it feels hot on my tongue. That usually means one thing, in my experience...

That's after knocking off the first chunk of ash.

This is after the second:

The tunnels in the last half of this set have been extremely disappointing. Two more cigars to go; hopefully they'll perform better.
