Today's Smoke 2026

Foundation Aksum ( don't tell em).
This is a great smoke, liking the nell out of them.

My daughter took one that had a lounge but she said I wouldn’t like it. Just wondered if it would be worth giving up significant perks and start over just for the lounge… thought I’d ask a cigar smokers opinion.
I don’t know anything about their casinos and perks related to that, but the last few cruises I’ve been on with a lounge, the lounges were all small, but with excellent ventilation. Despite posted signs saying no cigarette smoking allowed, they do seem to be a regular stop for some of that type of smoker. Usually it’s brief. The cigar smokers have been universally pleasant. They sell cigars, but bring your own, because they’re mostly Gurkhas. Drink service inside the lounge is spotty at best, but bars are right outside so you can zip out for a fresh old fashioned whenever you need to and be back before your cigar goes out.

....got to wonder if it got a little harsh when you got into the label, but maybe I worry too much..... 🤣

All good, not like I haven't done that once or twice......

Punch Rare Corojo
Wasn’t expecting much but this one surprised me. Maybe it was the 6 month nap (old for my collection). Red and black pepper, wood and nice spice retro. Smooth. Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and black licorice. Toasted cedar, vanilla, tea and black cherry. Stronger second half but smooth with nice flavors and cool smoke.

Actually Tom it was all good for another inch. I take my puff, set it down to diddle with weather or other things; it goes out, I come back to it in 3-5 minutes, relight, puff again; so I don't think the tar and stuff got in the way. But I know what you mean, I just am a slow smoker.

Tom was referring to the band Ed. 🤣

Thanks for the feedback. I havent been on ncl. They have a reputation for coming in at a good price then dinging you for lots of stuff once you get on. I will check them out as it doesnt look like princess has a ship in the Caribbean next summer.

I like princess as there are fewer kids and no roller coasters amd bumper cars like other cruise lines have tried to turn into.

Edit: Here is a website I use that has deckplans and people upload pictures of different areas so you can see what the lounge looks like on each ship.

link

Its looks like its usually on deck 7 or 8 depending on the ship.

Thanks @Gavin I will check them out.

Smoked with my son so didn’t pay as much attention as I should have. Pepper, earth, mocha and excellent spice blend. This is great. Chocolate, cream and spice. 2nd was a little milder but the spice persisted. 3rd was mostly pepper and spice. Excellent smoke. Tried his and it was really good as well.

Really hard to find a seat in the deplorables section in the aft section on the cruise.

Lots of chain smoking rednecks. As an over educated recalcitrant redneck, I can swim in that pool but its been very frustrating to find a way to smoke a cigar.

How long is cruise i sail carnival but they have been 8 night cruises and never had a issue and even ad other cigar smokes sitting there ablot of times.
