These monsters look like beast smokes, but it turns out nothing could be farther from the truth. And, I'm not a big fan of big ring sticks so how I ended up with a box of these is probably attributed to bourbon...🤣 But the simple truth is these are phenomenal smokes. Wrapper is just gorgeous; dark and oily, even after 3 years. First 1/3 is pepper and spice, second third calms down and is all coffee and chocolate. Still at it, but these are really worthy and immensely enjoyable. Takes time to get through but wonderfully enjoyable.

JDN Antaño Gran Reserva GT20
Very firm box press…could’ve used more rest. Decent draw given (v-cut, draw-tooled 1/3 in). Full body/strength but with 5 year aged tobacco and criollo wrapper it’s not the punch in the face of the regular Antaño. Leather and mild pepper start. Developing honey sweetness with nuts, wood, baker’s chocolate and some floral notes. About as full a cigar as I like but I really liked this one.

Our son plans to attend a school in a year or two. 18 months or training. One regional airline will pay tuition and tools if he will agree to work for them for 2 years out of school. And its not just airlines. They have people working for NASA Space X etc etc. I was talking w a guy in the biz in a lounge a couple months ago and he said the best gig is w UPS. Those guys pull in $200k/yr.

I've entertained that idea. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force for quite a while. Might not hurt to go back on the civilian side.
 
Yesterday I smoked one of these Emami cigars that my local BM just starting pimping. I have to say it was terrible for its $16 price point, nothing to it and I really tried to finish it out, but it was just not worth the time...maybe I just got a bad one?

Thanks Brandon. For so many years I thought it was "crazy banana land" the flavors called out by more than a few reviewers. I smoked thousands of cigars where I got MAYBE some vague notes such as earthy, spicy, sweet etc but that’s about it. I’ll never forget the cigar that screamed cinnamon to me for the first time. It was revelatory. Since then I became determined to figure out how to pick out more distinct flavors. It’s been an adventure and has taken many more years and thousands more cigars. Maybe I will write a how to. Might be fun!
