Today's Smoke 2026

This guy tasted great... for the short amount of time I was able to enjoy it. Easily the single worst behaved cigar I've had all year. I suspect the shop I got it from had their humidity waaaaaaaaay out of wack. I'm going to let the other two sticks I got from that shop rest in my humidor for some time before I try again.

Every shop around here is way over humidified IMHO. It hits you when you walk in and all the humidifiers are set at 70. I always give anything i buy at least a week or two, usually longer, to get where I like them..65.

Padron 1964 Presidente
Black pepper, oak and cedar, white pepper retro. Wide open draw. Nutmeg and cocoa follow appear followed by dark chocolate and leather. Fading pepper, faint vanilla and honey. Strong baking spice and mild vanilla finish. Very enjoyable smoke with my son.

Unless I am smoking a cigar right there in the shop, I’m putting it away for a month. When I am smoking at the shop or lounge, I especially avoid “Hey we just got these in!” I am not going to smoke a cigar that just spent the last week in a plane’s 45 degree cargo hold and steaming hot delivery trucks.
