Trouble at the Snobbery

I'd hope that everyone that is curious about this has read the relevant thread over on CS. Make up your minds based on the facts as presented there.
Speculating on "Is this a joke", "This is not a joke" is fruitless. And remember the danger of email communication: if you're not accurate, you're liable to be misunderstood.
 
If Leebo needs help covering this - for WHATEVER reason (death in the family, plumbing issues, money issues, whatever), give me names, addresses and what's owed - I'll make it good.... I may be wrong, but I don't think this is the same issue as others that have been outed. I think Leebo needs some assistance, and I'd be glad to cover him - I know he's good for it...

I agree with Gramps, Lee is a great guy in my book, I'm sure he'll make good on his debts. We all get behind, mixed up, mail the wrong package, right jingles? :whistling: Remeber everyone (yeah I mailed jingles package to the wrong guy) makes mistakes. hope the water smooths over soon.

Exactly, which is why I didn't condemn him like some people have over on CS. I personally thought this was a joke of some kind. If it's not, I wish Leebo the best in getting things worked out. I'll even put out the same offer as George and Joe M. (on CS): Anyone who Leebo owes sticks to, let me know what they are and I'll cover them (if I can). I don't think he deserves to be lynched as he has on CS. He said it himself - his reputation speaks for itself.
 
I still want to see who else brought up allegations of misconduct. So MMM, will you talk to your sources and ask them to step forward.

I think I know what sparked all of this crap.

Many months ago, MMM offered to send me some jazz discs. He sent this huge box, then another a short time after. I mentioned sending him something in return and he said it wasn't necessary. Then, there were some subtle remarks made later about how I never owned up to my end of the deal. Had I known that it would have made a difference, I would have sent him something then.

I guess since I'm late with Ric's sticks, he decided to recruit him to let me have it. I took care of Ric pretty well in his pass, and this is what I get for being generous?

No recruiting was done. I posted your pulitzer prize winning story concerning the box sliding under the seat. MMM just gathered some information apparently and put 1 and 1 together and got 2.

As for the pass thing, if that were the case, then pretty much everyone in my pass wopuld have been exempt from paying me for the lotto. I should have just not been in the lotto then huh.

Did this **** happen over at the CS site, or here, originally? As others have said, I have not seen any drama since I joined, and life is good without it. Can this conversation continue on over at CS please? All who have read this thread know it's going on, and if we're truly interested, we'll go over there and read it.

And I don't mean to belittle what may have happened, I just simply don't want that drama to invade a great place! If you got screwed, that sucks, and hopefully all will be righted in the end.

And yes, I know, if I am not interested I can just choose not to read this thread, however it's a virus that will only grow and start into other threads as time goes on.

You've not been here long enough to see this stuff happen. It happens from time to time, and sometimes it get REAL ugly (this is not ugly, believe me). And I gotta tell you - no insult to you - it's not gonna stop because you asked it to.

Let it run its course - it'll be okay. I promise This is what makes the place great, believe it or not... :thumbs:
 
I totally disagree with you Gonz. This is bigger than a CP or CS thing. Who cares what website it happened at, the fact is it happened and is currently happening. We're talking about a member who has been here for over 3 YEARS and a member who has been here for 2 YEARS. Not a couple of months, YEARS. So yes, it may have happened at CS but all parties involved are long time CPers. Whether or not some people have been here long enough to remember them, does not make this a non-issue.

We are all supposed to BOTL. Regardless of what site it originated on. Forgive me if I wanted to warn some people about what was going on.

Great, who got the "Token Cuban Guy" all riled up? Now he is going to rambling on and on about how the cause of brotherhood can't be neglected, and how this cause he is fighting for is somewhat bigger than any 1 bulletain board could ever be. Soon it will spill over to the other boards, probably as a witch hunt.
