Dan @CgarDan and I did a trade, or attempted to. I sent my end out on February 19th, Dan sent his on the 20th, I got Dan's package on the 23rd.

I kept tracking the package headed to Dan and it bounced all over New York, it was literally 3 pages of "arrived at" and "departed from." On the 26th it said it was out for delivery, on the 27th it said "delivery could not be attempted due to weather" I checked the weather and saw nothing.

The package came back to me today and said it was "refused". I figured I would take it to the post office and have them resend it but they were going to charge me again. When I went to show the lady the tracking history saying "delivery was not attempted due to weather", the tracking history was all changed from the 26th on.

People go to jail for things like that!

I will be sending it out again Monday .....so sorry Dan!

I wish there were such a thing as an honest lawyer! :)

USPS has really turned to crap the past few years. Imagine trying to run a business and having to rely on them. Seems to have gotten even worse when they launched their Ground Select BS.
 
I had basically the same thing happen. Package showed up at Spotsylvania local branch office, then updated to out for delivery, then went back to the local office, and then was returned to Richmond Virginia about an hour south of me. Finally, came back to Spotsylvania before it was delivered.


Don't you normally use your American Express Jeff? I know you filed claims with them before due to USPS stating 2 to 3 day priority, and you've gotten your money back....
 
Stuff like this always makes me wonder what it must be like to have a job where incompetence goes unpunished. Must be nice.
 
To give you perspective, Richmond Virginia is about 45 minutes from me. My package I am expecting reached them Sunday morning early. Typically, it's delivered the next day. In this case, it's been showing en route to the next facility since Sunday night. Each evening they update the date, but no update in tracking./physical location. It's almost as if they do this to cover their own tracks showing their own incompetence. On the other hand, I just sent a package to someone up north that was picked up late yesterday afternoon. It is already showing that it's in Massachusetts as of earlier this afternoon.
