Just so you all can be prepared...we are going to see Ghost Rider tomorrow afternoon and I am WAY excited about it and intend on posting about it when I see it...so I am giving you ALL fair warning :D

It looks cool from what I have seen of the adverts.Im sure there is a scene in it where he gets run over by a horse.

Nah I think this is gonna be a good one. I have already heard from a few folks that went last night saying it was reallly good. So I am optimistic. I don't listen to critics or other people anyway when it comes to movies, I check em out for myself...except maybe Ishtar....and i still think i sat throuh that piece of shazah. I dont know if i will go to the theatres for Reno 911, but i am definitely gonna see it. Next flick I go to see at the movies will be 300.

....I guess it really depends on what you want from a movie. For me, movies are a nice escape, a "suspension of belief" for just a short time. In that respect, even a schlocky movie can be entertaining on some level if you go in knowing what to expect. My wife and I have enjoyed all the "comic book" movies; X-Men, Fantastic Four, Batman, etc. The newest generation of digital special effects are pretty stunning.....very cool.

I can understand that for a lot of folks this just won't be "your thing" and it's pretty tempting to think of it as a "stupid" movie. I can understand and respect that opinion.

.....I thought it looked pretty cool and will take my two boys to go see it..... :laugh:

I like Cage's work and enjoyed his performances in films like The Rock and Guarding Tess, but from the trailers, I just cannot see him as Johhny Blaze.

My wife wants to see this and I could care less. Nicholas Cage is just too dramatic IMO, too many one liners and such in his movies.
 
I think most critics talk out of their ass. Just because THEY don't like it doesn't mean its not a good movie. Thus I don't listen to people either if a movie sucks or its good. I judge it on my own merits by watching it. Seldom do I go to the movies any more as the price is just to damn expensive for what is being pushed as movies nowadays. I generally will wait for it to come out on DvD but for those rare movies that interest me. Just think of movies as cigars and you can come to a logical solution. Not everyone likes the same thing. In fact i am going to the 2:30pm showing here in town today. I was going to wait till Monday but decided I needed to get out of the house.

And just think on this Brickhouse. For a man that just has one liners as you say...look at who is rich and famous and who isn't. :laugh:
 
I just got back from seeing this movie. I was a little surprised at one of the actors in there. Sam Elliot. Not a bad movie. Saw the advertisements for Superman 3 and Fantastic 4 part 2. God I hate sequels usually. Nothing like regurgitated steaming pile of horse crap. It looks like they ended this movie for a sequel for sure. So expect another Ghost Rider 2 in the near future.

I'm with you guys... Cage is one of favorite actors, but I just can't see him playing this role, IMO!
 
I just saw this movie and I enjoyed it. The special effects were pretty good, but the story line and conflicts left a little to be desired. Overall, it was a decent flick. I will rent it once it is released.

We just watched Ghost Rider! I really liked it! Much better than say Daredevil and Fantastic 4, but not as good of course as X-Men....If you are expecting Nicholas Cage to tank, he doesnt....Good flick!! And the pre-views were really good!!
