What did you smoke today

So far today only a 5 Vegas Miami. Really enjoyed it. Started to tunnel on me but it corrected itself with a little slow-down on the puffing.

On the recommendation of Ginseng, I picked up a HDM Dark Sumatra. His recommendation was perfect. I was looking for a full flavored smoke without a nicotine overload, and this cigar fit the bill wonderfully. It's reasonably affordable too, which is a nice change of pace from the other stuff I've been smoking lately. It had the same toasty, creamy flavor profile of the excalibur, with some spice and a more full, up-front flavor brought on by the wrapper choice. A wonderful smoke that I'm sure I'll be revisiting. Thanks for the heads-up Ginseng!

I have been slacking a bit, but the past few days I have fired up

HDM petit robusto
Anejo 49
PLPC
Famous Nic 4000
Thompson Husker someone gave me last night..... =)

'01 JL Corona mmmmm!
Padilla '68 Robusto - half the box gone in two weeks!
AdC Lonsdale
Factory Direct MAD Robusto - decent $3 cigar, wrapper needs more ferment time

I fell for those 6YO Juan Lopez, though. Perfect, IMO.

VSG robusto with 1.5 years on it. Very tasty although it gave me a wicked nic buzz. I lost my sea legs b/c I've been sick and haven't had a cigar in 2 weeks.

TR night - '99 JL Robusto (#2?), real nice
FRI lunch - VSG Robusto, nice
SAT night - Monte Petit Edmundo, made to order
SUN as I type - Graycliff Crystal Presidente, so far it's alright

So much for cutting back. The '07 Edmundo is outpacing everything for me nowadays. Glad I've got a few left. Anyone with an inventory of these that they're not enjoying, please shoot me a pm.

I just finished a nightcap PSD2 from June '06 and I'm still not getting nearly the flavor of the '05s - even when at that age. I'll sample them again at the holidays but I think '05 was just a special year for many blends. Monty Edmundos from '06 are also not what the '05s delivered. Maybe the '07s will surprise. I know the '07 PLPCs are great!

If you see either of those vintages for sale, buy 'em! ;)

Yesterday I had a Tatuaje Noellas with some Red Stripe while grilling some filet for my sister-in-law's birthday. Everything was great until the m-i-l decided to come outside and talk to me while I was enjoying myself.

Today, I have a WOAM in my shirt pocket that will be getting fired up either at lunch, or after work. Gotta enjoy what will probably be the last 80- degree day of the year.

Today was a Punch SS#2 from '01 and yesterday:

-Tat "West Coast"
-Partagas Lusitania '98
-Cohiba Siglo III '05
