Energy drinks are like women, there are a million of them and everybody has their preferences. Some prefer an enjoyable tasting drink and some simply like the effect.

I also recently found these coffee pouches from Grinds and was amazed at how well they work. Not usable all the time but in the right circumstances they are perfect. Tasty and pretty quick!

My favorite ones are XS from Amway. Tons of vitamin B and you can get it with or without caffeine. That being said I don’t buy them often, maybe once a year. My more frequent ones are Jocko Go or Celsius.

I rarely drink traditional energy drinks (1-2 cups of black coffee most days) but I drink one of these most weekdays. https://magicmind.com/ They’re more mental clarity than true energy but they immediately help me dial in.

I drink 5-6 monsters a week and drink black coffee every day. I drink the sugar free monster. I don't really care which flavor, I prefer what's on sale :)

Exactly, I don't drink them for flavor, I drink them for effect. I was golfing one day and went into the bar at the turn and asked for a red bull, the bartender gave it to me and I chugged it and handed the can back and she said "did you just chug that" as if I should have savored it.

I have one or two of these every day at work. I don’t have a position that I can carry around a cup of hot coffee, so these fit the bill.

Black coffee for me. If I get an energy drink, which is a few times a year (typically on a road trip) I get the white Monsters (Zero Ultra).

When you're going away for the weekend and you pack the cooler with a few of each of these, be careful. I was sitting by the fire, tired of bee,r and wanted a refreshing drink. I poured some vodka on ice and went to grab this

But grabbed this

And didn't know what I had done until I took the first drink. It was a fun afternoon!

Coffee... lots of coffee.

I typically don't like the medicinal taste I get from most energy drinks. I did find that Liquid Death has energy drinks now - picked up a few to try at Target. They are zero sugar, 5 calories per can, and for me decently flavorful without the cough syrup element.

Coffee and Coca-Cola here.

Back in the 90's, I ran into someone I graduated with, that was one of the few people I didnt mind hanging out with in high school. During our conversation, he asked if I'd heard about another guy we'd graduated with, and I hadn't. He then went on to tell me that the guy died, because he was drinking 5-6 lipto-somethings a day, and a couple 5 hour energy drinks as well, and his heart literally exploded one day.

My mom was on a bereavement thing through her church. So she poured through the obit's every day, and a couple of months later she asked if I ever drank those new-fangled energy drinks. I told her no, and asked why she was asking, and she explained that she was seeing a trend of younger people dying off from heart problems, that (at that time) were attributed to energy drinks.

So yeah. Heh heh. I have steered way clear of them. Had some redbull in a house party swamp cooler mixture once. But thats the only time I've ever had any.

(not trying to be a debbie-downer)

It wasn't until the mid 2000,s they started to regulate the caffeine and "vitamins" in energy drinks. I used to by this drink back in the day called cocaine (really just a drink not actually coke) and that stuff was wild it had caffeine ephedra and niacin in it. Only grabbed one once or twice a month because you could feel your heart race. It was pulled from the market and re-released as cocaine uncut. But some of the stuff was removed and now only has caffeine. I stopped buying it and haven't seen it on a shelf for years. It was like legal speed for sure.

These days I prefer coffee with espresso or Ghost and drink it over about 4 hours. I try not to buy anything over 200mg. And I use nicotine pouches most days.

Kids drink the BUM energy drinks. I don't approve and never have. Why does a 16, 18 and 20 yr old need energy drinks?

We start every day with a French Press of fresh ground coffee. Black, thank you. Might have a K-cup later in the afternoon. Just not an energy drink or soda guy, for that matter. Though, I probably have a Monster Zero Sugar drink or two in the downstairs fridge.

Both my guys drink Monster energy drinks. Oldest son, the LEO, usually hits one up about 0300 when on his shift.
