I closed in just under that. The fact that my wife and I wanted (needed) to close in a hurry is partially why our bid was accepted. The bad part was that our escalation clause reached its maximum. We ended up paying 16,000 over the home's list price. That's how it works in D.C.! Sucks huh? The house had 5 bids on it. The bidder just under us had an escalation clause with a ceiling of just 50 bucks less than ours!benjiev said:Man thats a fast close.
