Being from Louisiana and still having relatives in the areas that have been affected, although no where near the point of the coastal areas , I find what you just said totally out of line. There are low-lifes down there in your very own home town, in the town I live in now and for the most part just about everyone else's hometown. This is not something that is localized to the coastal areas. :angry2:

I had to depend on friends that work on the army base with email and a friend that is from WV with a cell phone to track down family.

On CNN they're talking on the phone with a man pleading with them to stop the NG from coming because they are now fearing for their life about what is going to happen if they show up at night. The Mayor or NO is now begging for additional buses because they have no way of getting resources (food/water) to them, and they are running out of the resources they do have - they don't have enough to take care of the 10-15,000 people that remain, and there are more people showing up in droves now that the storm is gone. It's not just in NO - people in Mississippi are shown sorting through garbage for any kind of food because they are not getting anything delivered either.
WTF?!?

It's time for full out Martial Law. Get tanks in there, clear out a safe path, blow the pieces of **** that are the cause of this misery off the face of this planet, and help get these desperate folks the basic necessities of life that they need to freaking stay alive for f*cks sake!

You will get no argument out of me about this part you actually hit on what I was referring to. I was referring to her pulling the resources to try to stop the shooting, looting, raping, and everything else.(although I would be a looter as well to provide for my family in such a situation). Plain and simple, your normal everyday bus driver is just that a bus driver, he/she is not going to want to go into an area where he is going to get shot at. Send the buses in with military driving and front to rear. Set them clear the path to get the folks out of there.
There is a military base about 2-3 hours from N.O. Fort Polk. When I was living there it was the 5th Inf. but I believe now it is a training base for the most part for Jungle/Marshland type warfare. WTF, they drive the tanks and Machine Gun Mounted Humvees right through my old hometown take them bastards to N.O. and get this resolved.

So they air-dropped in some food and water to the Superdome - but barely enough for a couple hundred people, nothing more. They are going on 5 days with no food, no water, and no medicical help.
We can race to the aid of other countries, but the f*cking government is doing jack sh|t about the worst natural disaster we've ever seen in this country aside from talking about how much they are doing [nothing], basically letting thousands of people suffer and die for no reason at all, and the resue workers are not even bothering to try to help the lower class people - concentrating on air lifting people from houses, but not the inner city apartments.
Oh, but thankfully they rescued Fats Domino and his family...
I've never been more disgusted in my life.
