One way I try to pay for my habit is to make and sell metal art and artifacts. Just a hobbyist killing time. I thought I would bore others with my ramblings...

This is a couple ashtrays I made with WW2 Navy deck gun shell base's and 50BMG brass shell casings.

Kept one and sold one. Wish I could track down a few more of these bases.

Those are awesome! Very cool idea. Also, is that a Springfield? Nice looking piece.
It is. Not withstanding their questionable politics sometimes, their warranty program is second to none.

I carried a SA V10 Ultra Compact for over 20 years. I took it in to my local guy to give it a tune up and he regretted to tell me the aluminum frame had cracked. Springfield was equally apologetic - the pistol had been out of production for over a decade, and they couldn't track down another frame anywhere. They were able to provide me with a Range Office compact in it's place, not bad at all for a 25 year old pistol with 30,000+ rounds through it. After a little tuning, it's been a fantastic piece.

Then of course, needed a new holster. Milt Sparks hooked me up with that beauty - their IWB's are the most comfortable I've ever used.
