What Beer Are You Drinking Today 2023

This is the last Fred I have in the cellar. I’ve got to get back to Oregon to see my family and stock up on some more good beer. A No. 4 from 98 to go along with it.

Since I've been diabetic, it has not been easy to have a beer without the numbers go skyrocketing into the heavens. And although I have tried the regular stuff, haven't stumbled onto a decent IPA, until around Super Bowl, when I discovered Lagunitas' Daytime, but now it's Dogfish's Slightly Mighty that has knocked it out of the ballpark. And it goes well with fuller bodied cigars like a Don Pepin Blue or Padron Anni

Interesting, how was it?
Not too shabby. I typically like something that is a touch more aggressive with the acidity, but this had good balance. I think the oak aging and vanilla beans are what cut into that? Very drinkable and went well with the BBQ I was eating.
