Not sure if any of you saw this or not but a 23 year old father knocked his daughter unconscious because she wouldn't go to sleep, then put her out in the snow. She died. This story has been bothering me since I read it, I've had some family issues that I've dealt with recently so I think I'm just getting more emotional as I get older.

Anyway, I was thinking about that little girl today, and the song "Alyssa Lies" came on the radio. I had to pull over because I was balling my eyes out. That rat bas.tard of a father should have headphones duct taped to his head and be made to listen to this song for 6 months straight, day in day out.

I don't believe this is the actual video for the song but rather one that a guy created from the actual song. Either way, it is the song that got to me.
 
Wow, that is unfathomable, it definitely pulled a few tears from me. I just cant imagine the kind of hate or anger that could cause someone to hurt an innocent child. Does PA have the death penalty?

EDIT: In the past I would get to work and hit a couple of news sites to start the day off. This is one of the reasons I stopped doing that. Once you read something like that its pretty damn hard to just go about your day.
 
I'd be so very happy to save the citizens of Pennsylvania their hard earned tax dollars and take care of that waste of carbon myself!!
 
This kind of thing happens way too often and IMHO swift and severe justice is not served often enough. I can think of at least two other incidences in the past year here in the Minneapolis metro area. One father smothered his infant because it wouldn't stop crying and another shook his infant to death. These people need to be exterminated like vermin! :angry:
 
Horrific.

He needs to make restitution to society and humanity for the rest of his days. If he fails in that penance, then he simply needs to be put to death. There's no reason to waste resources or money on housing this creature in a penitentiary.

...it feels like we've lost our sense of outrage as a society, and it bothers me a lot. It seems that there are actions, like this, that are so horrific, so demented, so against anything that a civil society would tolerate that swift justice is the only moral thing to do. Yet, we house, clothe, feed and "rehabilitate" these folks at great expense for long periods of time. I don't get it.

Personally I think a .44 behind the left ear is just what this slime has coming.

Having worked in a major hospital, we saw crap like this all the time. The all time low that I saw parents take was dipping a 2 year old in boiling water all because she was crying. It was reported to the police as being suspicious and I was there when the cops took out the night sticks and slammed them up against the wall pretty rough. I still think they should have beat the crap out of the parents first.
