Over the last couple of weeks:
Boulevard Collaboration 3- Stingo (interesting)
St. Arnolds Divine Reserve 12 (interesting)
Lagunitas Russian Imperial Ale (very good)
Real Ale 16 Anny Doppelbock (good, not nearly as tasty as their precious years anny)
Great Divide Oak Aged Chocolate/ Espresso Yetis (both very good, I liked the Espresso over the Chocolate)
Sam Adams Octoberfest (good)

Boulevard Collaboration 3- Stingo (interesting)

I had a similar experience, but I still can't decide if I liked it or not. It started out malty, which I liked, then got tart at the end, which I didn't like. Lots of stuff going on with that brew.

Agreed, very complex, I'll be curious to see what a little age will do for it.

How is it, Jimmy? I plan to stop by a shop on Friday just to see what's there (crossing fingers for some fall seasonals). If they have it I might pick a bottle up.

Taken from the other thread:

So I stopped by Rock & Brews last night for a pint of this nectar, and boy was it good. $9 for an imperial pint was a 'lil steep, but well worth it.

I was taken aback by the drinkability, and smoothness of the beer considered how much they hopped/dry hopped the beer.

If you have a chance to try this on tap, please do so. Although I am sure that the bombers will be just as good, as I plan to buy a couple this weekend.

Cheers!

I've got an Imperial IPA from the boys at Harpoon, very smooth , very nice, at 10% it has a kick!

I've also got Sonny Rollins on the radio, smoking a Reinado robusto- these things are great- good times!

Currently enjoying a DFH 90 min. IPA. I love the subtle malty sweetness and the fruityness of the hops. Great beer!

Newcastle Werewolf. I should take the rest back to the store to ask for my money back.

I had some a few weeks ago and felt about the same.

Over the week-end I've had Southern Tier's IPA and 2X IPA as well as Lost Coast's Idiga IPA, Eight-ball Stout and Downtown Brown.

8/26/2012 - Pizza Luce, Richfield, MN
Bell's Two Hearted Ale - on Tap

Heaven tastes like Two Hearted Ale!!

Maui Brewing Coconut Porter Love the burnt malt profile on this brew.

I have looked at this one several times, but have passes beacuse I am big fan of coconut. How much coconut flavor does it have?
In my experience, not much at all. I seem to get much more cocoa and dark malts from it and very little if any at all coconut. That said, I think it's a delicious beer and usually a crowd-pleaser.

What Jeff said! The coconut is there, but extremely muted. Try it! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks guys! I will pick some up.

I am drinking some now and all I can say is WOW, this stuff is great! I can just make out the coconut flavor.

Thanks!

Sam Adams Cellar Series Thirteenth Hour

I was pleasantly surprised with this. It was a little thin and overcarbonated, but after letting sit in the glass for awhile the flavors that did shine through were tasty.
