I am hoping to get some opinions with those of you that have more experienced eyes than mine. For the first time, I bought some cc's from an online retailer that I think is fairly established. I have some concerns, and wonder if it is possible they aren't bona fide Habanos. The box code is faint, though it says DIC 06, can't read factory part. The cap is a different colour from the rest of the wrapper on one stick, the cap construction is a bit rough. I have e-mailed the retailer who isn't getting back to me. The packaging otherwise looks OK, the wrappers are pretty nice, the bands look real. I realize that there are inconsistencies so wondering if that is what I am seeing. Feel free to PM me your source. The photos are inconclusive although nothing jumps right out as a red flag. The photos of the cigars themselves are out of focus and that makes it a bit hard to see the details one might want to see.

Since your from Vancouer was it from a Canadian source? If so did you check Havan House to verify if the supplier was legit?

No, bought it online. I would never have any question from a B and M, I know their source is Havana House. They cost three times as much though, the Canadian government is by far my biggest dependant....

...I was about to post a pic with some "interesting" features....which begs the question "Are these real"....(thought the answer is pretty obvious.... :rolleyes: ).

Wrong. What's out of line is someone I don't know and have no relationship with, other than sharing a common bond about cigars, making this comment. I kind of get that it is meant to be humorous, but it's too personal for this context, i.e. a public forum that none of us own.

When I read the thread title, I fully expected to see some bewbies on display.

Get over yourself....it was meant as a joke and you're blowing this way out of proportion.

Fair enough. I can appreciate your discomfort. It's too familiar for you even here at an online social community that professes that friendliness is a value we members share. No one can tell you what you should and should not be comfortable with and perhaps BP may choose to acknowledge that.

However, that sense of offense in no way absolves you of the impropriety of your veiled threat. That is not a social mis-step, it is clearly anti-social.

As a member of this community, that is something that I find offensive and off-putting as well as unfriendly, ungracious...and unwelcome.
