Outlaw Padron Event May 16

Guys,

I have correspondence from the Pres. of the company, the private dining patio will tentatively be available to us from 5:00-6:30 for cigar smoking, but the smokes need to be out by 6:30 for another commitment that is already booked there.

BE THERE by 5:00, let them know you are with the Cigar Pass party, and we should be golden. I'll post more info tomorrow as I get it, but so far this is current intel.

I'll tell you this, our server better get at least a 25% tip overall. Our group will make a servers whole night, or we won't be doing this next year, got it?

More info to be posted on Thursday.

Andrew

Works for me. Thanks Drew!

This isn't the kind of place that takes 45 minutes to get you your food. BBQ orders take less than 20 minutes at the absolute worst. I worked there for two years, trust me on this one. I hope this works out for you guys, I promise not to let up until I know exactly what the sitrep is.

That's not so bad then. As long as I get my burnt ends I'll be happy.

In other news, there's another massive storm rolling through southern illinois, keeping me awake. Will be fun waking up tomorrow for the drive over.

There will be NO PFRs. They don't have any. They don't make them anymore(the 44 has been discontinued the 45 is being worked on but not available yet). I don't think we will have a problem smoking at the Outlaw after dinner. I know someone with a key...

My weekend just got a whole lot cheaper.

Man some people just have the hook up.

I wonder whats really going on. :sign:

Ha. Exactly what I just thought. Guess I won't be bringing my sole PFR to smoke this weekend either. An 80th instead (yum yum).

I like this guy. You are the Drew from K.C. who's girlfriend was shot out of a tree in Australia (at least that's how I recall it)... Correct?

Nate, the manager at Jack Stack called this morning playing connect the dots, and to follow up on what Drew posted, we will in fact be allowed to use the private patio, and they are going to allow us to smoke, provided that we are done smoking no later than 6:45 because they have a rehersal dinner in the next private room starting at 7:00. So plan on bringing your best robusto or corona gorda that you can get smoked in an hour. See you guys either at the Outlaw tomorrow or at dinner tomorrow night.

Kick ass. You guys have a great time, I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck at work, but I'll be there all day on Saturday. I'm glad we got it all worked out. TIP YOUR SERVER! :)

Brad, since he isn't bringing any PFR just have Jorge custom roll some 2009 Anniversario beedog barberpoles, I am sure he will be cool about it.

Thanks for the work you KC guys have been doing to hook us up down there this weekend. For anyone who is going to the Padron event for the first time all I can say is you will have a hard time finding a better herf. I have been lucky enough to be able to get down there twice now and have never had anything but a great time in KC. The Outlaw's Humidor even without 44's in it is one of the best you will find anywhere.

See you guys in a little less than 24 hours from now :)

My wife and I are going to get there a little early. That way, we can eat and her and our son can head on out. That way, they won't be around when the smoking begins -- she is allergic to smoke and we would rather our son not be around a large group of guys smoking since he is already showing signs of developing my wife's knack of getting sick on a regular basis. They will be gone by 5:15 or 5:30. Of course, there is a 60% chance of severe thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon/evening, so we may all be inside!

Quiet down you! There will be no talk of rain, thunderstorms or anything that has the possibility of making me miserable tomorrow!

My wife isn't very interested in the HERF. I reckon I told her too much about Brad. Anyhow, she is going to compete with my spending at a local mall. She is also planning a visit to a toy/dollhouse miniatures museum. She has room for 2, possilby 3 others. She found a WWI museum that I'm pretty damned interested in seeing before the HERF.

Just in case somebody gets interested after 6am tomorrow, text me at 720-982-9541

Damn funny, Bruce! I nearly choked on my smoke just now.

I made it safe and sound to Kansas City, and I must say I'm pumped about dinner tomorrow, and doubly so for the event itself! If anybody heads to the Outlaw before dinner I'll be the kid with long hair looking like he's found heaven.

It's not like heaven, it is heaven. It doesn't get any better than burnt ends, cheesy corn bake, and those beans to die for.
