As far as I know low temperatures are okay... Its just rapidly fluctuating temps that you need to morry about... Keep your sticks in an area that has a fairly regulated temp... even if it is low, just try and keep it fairly constant.

Nothing really gets me sick. I guess i have a really high tolerance. I can smoke LFD DL Chisel Maddys on an empty stomach and not hardly get phased... Feel a little buzz from them, but thats about it...
