To admins-
I wanted to ask permission before violating any forum rules - I would like to sell my cigar collection of ~65 cigars. Do you permit this on these forums?
Thank you.
Rocky Patel Segundos definitely crossed my mind as a suggestion... but they are more like $3.50 to $4.00 per stick, instead of the ~$2.00 neighborhood. But I agree... if you're looking for a cheap smoke in that $3.50 - $4.00 price range, then Rocky Patel Segundos definitely earn a spot near the...
I would actually check out some house brands. I've had good success with Cigar.com's house brands. They all come in at about $2/stick, with a bunch of different varieties. They are made from premium cigar rollers, using the "cutoffs" from some decent cigars (e.g. the part of the cigar that...
As long as they are in the tube, it doesn't really matter if you store them as loose tubes, or if you store them as tubes-in-original-box. Not much humidity would get in, but not much would get out either. As long as the environment is a suitable cigar storage environment, then whatever little...
I gotta agree with CigarStone. The best thing to do is to just move your humidor to a place that doesn't experience direct sunlight, temperature swings, or humidity swings. This will be MUCH better in the long run than trying to worry what ranges your cigars will survive in.
I've always kept my tubos cigars in the tube. My reasoning was that they always act as a layer of protection for the cigars, especially if you plan on keeping them for a while.
I have this nasty habit of opening my humidor about once a day to get a nice big whiff of all of that tasty tobacco...
The safest way to store cigars is to have someone watch them. Just send them to me. I will take care of them like they were my babies.
But seriously, I would over-compensate with more humdification devices than what you will need... more beads, more humicare bags, more gel, etc... whatever...
I own two torch lighters that I have used for the past 1.5 years to light cigars. I would toast the foot until it turned an ashy white, then I would proceed to smoke the cigars. But recently, I've started using the wooden matches that my local B&M cigar shop gives out. I've got it down to a...
Nice setup you got there! I like your choice of sticks. Rocky Patel Edges and Padron 2000's are some of my favorite everyday smokes. But now that you have the extra storage space, it's all downhill from here :)
What I would recommend is that you get a few cigar boxes, and store your cigars...
I agree with Bullfrog. Get something with beads or the "gel" stuff like a Drymistat tube, or a little jar of gel from Xikar. You could use propylene glycol + water with your foam, but the gel / beads make it totally brainless to manage humidity.
