Getting your feet wet Pass II

Just got back in town, looks like some good discussions and trades have been occurring while I was gone.... One question: what's MMM's Guide mean?

Getting your feet wet pass II cigar reviews

Wading through the options of cigars to review, my eyes were drawn to the brilliant yellow ring of the CAO Flavor. Glad that it is only a four inch smoke, I venture into the unknown territory of flavored cigars. After clipping the head off of this thing, I ran my lips over it the end to...

Getting your feet wet Pass II

Clearly this issue is the heart of the issue in all passes. Jonesy, your recommended reading shows the differing opinions and the general practices of the vets, but still leaves it hanging. Some say no rare's in newbee passes, others suggest basing it off MSRP. I think the concern I have...

    Olympics

During the opening ceremonies there was a country marching in with 4 athletes whose total population was 12,000 people. The Chinese stadium held 92,000--how disorienting that would be!

Getting your feet wet Pass II

Hey folks: Used to have some wisdom to share a few years ago, but recently I have been a floater (I like that term better then lurker) for a while post-seminary. I pm'd Brian hoping that this may help get me more involved in the forum again. Whopper--looking forward to meeting ya through the...

    favorite golf cigar

when you play like I do all it takes is a Hemingway Short story before and after the turn.. Mainly because you'll be busy fishing golf balls out of lakes, digging out of sand traps, and chopping down trees. But I do like the easy to light shape for windy days and it being a simple smoke.

    Flavo Flave in the Humi

Hey gang: So, I ordered a box of cigars online and their incentive was an add-on fiver of CAO flavors. "There not for me, there for a friend of mine." Seriously, I am going on a men's outing at the end of the month where the guys in the past would bring Backwoods, so I do figure I can get rid...

    Cigar trades

Yeah, but if it is something very personal, I would rather have to explain to one person than have to come onto a board to explain it to folks i have had no prior conversation with.

    Newborn Pass

I have not been around in a while, partly to a new job, but also due to my new baby girl. She is 11months. I would like to get back involved here, but I can understand any concerns that I have not been around for a while. Let me know. Peace, Pugs

    Do beads go bad?

To answer Robs question •It is a wood humi, originally I thought it was based upon location (I was in NJ) and seasons (winters up there are dry). But now that I have lived 3 months in Atlanta and Charlotte during the summer, I was surprised that there was no flucation based upon AC use...

    Back in Carolina

So I have graduated and have moved back to North Carolina. It is great to be back in the home of the Panthers, NASCAR and Sweet Tea. I have returned to the Charlotte area, but I left the area before I started smoking cigars. Therefore, I am looking for a good cigar store/bar. Any suggestions?

    Do beads go bad?

No offense viper, I just have never gotten these beads to calibrate well. I don't know if it is me, the humy or if the beads have gone bad. I purchased the 65s, but the humi level wavers in the 57-60 range. I have had the beads for at least a year and a half. In the past I had to have a...

    Maduro question

I had a very similar experience. When I purchased the humidor and starting collecting cigars I kept drifting towards the darkness. The rich, deep flavors was far more appealing than the occassional lighter cigars I had tried. My theory was if I wanted to smoke a cigar, then wouldn't I...

    Moving and Cigars

Hey folks: Here is the delimma. My family and I are moving out of our student housing at the end of this month, but heading to my folks place as we look for a job. Most of stuff is going in one of those PODS--so I know the cigars cannot go in there. I figure I will have to temporarily...
