    My father was a Pharmacists mate first class with the 26th Marines 5th Marine division on Iwo. We have 100's of pictures that he took of the battle at my brothers. Haven't seen them in years though.

    Met him at the D-Day museum in New Orleans between Christmas & New Years in 2004-5. He was there wearing his medal. Turned out my father was a chief pharmacists mate in the same unit (5th Division 26 Marines ) that he was in. He came to the museum often and they had a little display there about him.

    Moving to Houston

    Forgot to add. The fringes of the city such as Kingwood, the Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land etc. are just too far to drive downtown every day during rush hours unless your wife enjoys sitting in a car 1 - 1 1/2 hrs or more each way.
