Hey guys, I am currently in the process of working with a company out of New Jersey to get the transmission in my 03 Exploder fixed. I found these guys while doing a search for reman transmissions www.besttran1.com. Apparently thay are a company like Hotels.com that brokers with transmission...

    Favorite salomon size cigar

Partagas Presidente from you know where. Tat RC233 and 184. The 233 takes a while to smoke. It's pretty big. As for the Reposado on CI, I think I would be a little leary of that cheap price on such a difficult to roll cigar. I would almost bet they are made by one of the discount manufacturers...

    Cuba Libre?

This is not the same as the drink. Cuba Libre translates to free Cuba or liberate Cuba. The cigar is a CI brand that is made in the Plasencia factory in Honduras. It's not a bad cigar for the money but the La Herencia Cubana is a superior smopke for less cash.

    Cigar Suggestions

Judging by what you have said you enjoy, I am assuming you prefer milder smokes. If the Mac '68 was too "harsh" I would bet it was too strong for your particular palate. I don't know what your B & M carries so I'll just throw a few of the milder to medium smokes out there for you. 1. Perdomo...

Baton Rouge and New Orleans Cigar Shops

My wifa was in New Orleans before the hurricane while on a trip to see the inlaws. They stopped at The Cigar Factory and she brought me back some of the cigars. I have to say I found the Vieux Carre to be a very nice medium bodied smoke. The others were good but a little too mild for my tastes...

    What do you do?

I'm a production supervisor for SUBZERO Freezer Co. We also own Wolf Appliance. It's a pretty cool job and the company is pretty good to us semi-salaried folk.

    August 16. 1977

I was 9 yrs old and riding my bicycle down the street. All the women were coming out of their houses crying and hugging eachother. I found out when I got home that Elvis died. I shed a tear as well. At the time Elvis was the coolest guy on earth.

    Icon Cigars

That one i've had. It's not a terrible cigar although once again it fails to live up to the CI hype. I guess at that price it would be a pretty good buy though. I got mine off c-bid.

Which Icon are you referring to? This one:http://www.cigarsinternational.com/prodDisp.asp?item=CS-2FB&cat=3 or this one:http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/search/sr.cfm/st/1/bc/ICO

    what should i hit next?

I would try more of the Oliva lines like the V and the G. Can't really be beat pricewise. Padron is a pretty good bet but expect some really earthy nicaraguan tobacco flavors. Personally I think Padron does it better than the Cubans do but that's just me.

Friend brought back a couple of sticks from the Dom. Republic (pics)

General Cigar never produced a yellow band Cohiba. The lawsuit by Cuba Tobacco was against the red dot Cohiba and Generals use of the name. Cuba Tobacco won the initial lawsuit but lost on appeal. There were other companies blatantly ripping off the entire packaging design and bands that were...

    Holt's announces Padilla's demise?

Pepin dropped Padilla when Holts took over distribution for Pepins product. I am sure part of the deal with Holts was Garcia had to cut ties with a number of people he is producing higher end cigars for. The Levins are spawn of the devil. = They certainly must have their hands full now...

    Your Least Favorite Fuente?

My least favorite is any Fuente I have to pay retail on  I'm a big fan of the Cuban Belicoso and used to smoke a lot of the Don Carlos line. Hemmingways are pretty good but a bit too mild for my liking. King B's can be a good cigar if aged and then smoked at a lower RH than what is...

    Mexican cigars?

For many years the Mexican Govt. prohibited the import of foreign tobacco. That law has now been lifted and there are some pretty good multi national blends being produced there now. Look for Te-Amo and A.Turrent, 2 of the finer offerings from Mexico. I'm not going to blow sunshine up your can...
