    Ramon Allones Gigantes 2005

Greg, I see you are still doing very fine reviews. I hope you and your family have been doing well. I believe have one of these sticks you sent me that I may have to light up tonight, either that or one of those 2001 Sir Winnies. Take care, Paul

    Johnny-O! Robusto

Greg, I must have been on hiatus when these became available LOL! Great review, you could make a Dutch Masters sound pleasant. Nice work! Paul

    H. Upmann Sir Winston

Still haven't torched one of thosed '01's up yet. Your review makes it aweful tempting though. I think I am going to hold off until later this year when I am in a far off land hunting and share them with some new found friends around a campfire. They sure look inviting though!

    Caol-Ila Cigar Malt

Fellows, That sounded wonderful! I've yet to pair a single malt with a fine cigar, as cigar smoking is a newly found pleasure. A question though, I have noticed on several posts these small 200ml bottles, are these something that most liquor stores sell or is there a different avenue for...

    Wow...

I've yet to try one, but I do have some Power Rangers resting in the cooler. Maybe I'll find one someday for trade or purchase that has some age on it.

NEWBIE REVIEW: The Edge by RP

The Edge maddies I have smoked were all torpedo size, a pretty good size smoke. I found it to be more stout than a Camacho Triple Maduro, but I felt the CTM was a much higher quality stick. IMHO

    Life insurance and cigar smoking?

I appreciate everyone's feedback, albeit of varying opinions. Right now I am going to do some more research and leave the lid closed on my cooler full of all those fantastic smokes. The crazy thing about all this is I only started smoking cigars about 2 months ago and never messsed with...

Jim (stepthirteen), I got the package today. The Siglo looks awesome with plenty of age on it, plus the extras you sent are some of my favorites! Thank you so much and a thank you as well to Greg for passing his wish on to me. Now it is my turn, I'm sure sooner or later somebody is...

    Life insurance and cigar smoking?

Thanks guys. It's something that concerns me, because it's my wife's well being that would be in jeopardy. Gonz - if offhand you know of some companies that offer "occasional smoker" rates, I would appreciate you passing there names on to me on here or through PM. The good news is I have never...

    Life insurance and cigar smoking?

Hello Everybody, I am relatively new into cigar smoking, probably two months or so, but I have really learned a great deal on here and have come to enjoy 1 to 3 cigars each weekend. I doubt my cigar smoking will ever increase beyond that and there is a good chance that it may decrease. I...

NEWBIE REVIEW: The Edge by RP

The Edge Maduro is a dangerous stick, certainly not for a beginner, but capable of setting even a seasoned smoker back in his chair. I actually like one of those every once in a while. Those things might as well be dipped in nicotine!

    Lagavulin 16 Islay Single Malt

The Laphoig 10 year CS is some pretty stout stuff! I actually prefer the 10 year Laphoig to the 15 year. The one I had trouble with was Ardberg, that takes a seasoned single malt palet. I had a couple bottles of the 10 year Laphroig before I ever tasted Lagavulin, once I tasted it I knew I...

    Lagavulin 16 Islay Single Malt

To me the Islay's were love at first taste. The first scotch I ever had was 18 year old Glenlivet. Soon after I was on a business trip to Atlanta and I stayed at the Wyndam downtown, that on like the 72nd floor had a revolving bar at the top of the hotel. Well every evening I made way up...

    The CP Make-a-Wish PIF Thread

Thanks Step and thank you to Greg as well for passing his wish on to me. I'm definately going to remember to keep an eye on this thread, hopefully I can PIF and make another BOTL's wish a reality. This is the friendliest community on the entire web. I just can't believe my good fortune when I...

    The CP Make-a-Wish PIF Thread

Thanks Greg - although I'm not sure I deserve all your kindness, but I do appreciate it. My wishes would be for any of these - Opus with some age/ a Cohiba Siglo with some age/ Bolivar Gold Medal

    Opinions on Davidoff cigars

Thanks for all the feedback everybody. I definately like full bodied sticks, so it sounds like you just have to really cherry pick through the brand. They do appear to be a beautifully constructed cigar.

    Opinions on Davidoff cigars

Thinking about trying some Davidoffs and I would appreciate some feedback on the brand as a whole, as well as, the different varieties. They are definately not a cheap smoke, but if they are really good that's OK. Also, I would appreciate any referrals to good retailers for them, I know Famous...

How to find box purchases of high end NC?

I am a newbie, but thanks to some more veteran members on here I have learned a great deal. ONe thing I have definately learned is how difficult it is to find high end NC for sale, particularly in any quantity. Where is the best place to look and when for box quantities of premium stuff like...

    Is this normal?

I was reading somewhere on here that if you take a block of cedar and placed it in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour, let it cool and then place in humidor it will help reduce RH. Makes sense, but is it effective? If so, can a piece of a spanish cedar cigar box be used or even a whole box...

    Is this normal?

Thanks to all. I'm starting to get some very precious cargo in there and I guess I am a bit on the cautious side. bigwhiteash - Our family is building a house on Fripp Island, man I love beaufort, any good B&M's I should check out when I am down that way? A half bound of 65% beads is a fair...
