Thanks for the advice! I noticed that they Padrons I bought were $73 or so plus tax which is about $80 in NYC. These cigars can be bought elsewhere for $59.95. Not a huge difference but it will be if I buy boxes that are $200+. Thanks!

I smoked a Magnum 50 right out of the box and it was amazing. One of the best Cubans I have ever smoked. Having said that, I have not had a 05 LE.

As a follow up, I just smoked another NUB and it wasn't nearly as good as the first. It had a bit of a burn issue and seemed a bit bland. It also smoked in less than an hour (about 50 min). I am used to some construction variation with Cubans over the years, I am still excited about smoking...

I live in Canada and have access to cigars directly from Cuba thru my family vacations and friends travelling so I tend to smoke mainly Cuban cigars. I smoke the odd Avo, Davidoff or Fuente Hemingway when I travel to the US, but when I go to the humidor, it is usually for a Monte #2 or @4...

I smoked a Guantanamero last night and it was just OK. RyJ and Punch Tubos that are machine made are the best IMO.

+1. I have a 500 bottle wine fridge (for wine, guys.. not cigars! :p ) and it was under $2k. $28k for 1500 bottle capacity is insanely expensive.

Thanks for posting this! I found a 10+ year old Special "C" in my humidor last week and I am planning to smoke it soon. My "c" looks a lot smaller than the one in your pics. Maybe a 32-36 gauge at the most. I will post some pics when I smoke it.

I just returned from Cuba this weekend with a box of these and they are great. I smoked 2 from the box and both were amazing (great taste, draw, burn, etc.). I also bought 3 or 4 from various shops and they too were great smokes. Too bad about your plugged #2! :( I had a Ramon Allones Gigantes...
