Beautiful pipe there. You are a lucky man. I have many Peterson's in my collection and all are great smokers.

I don't mind smoking outside in the cold. One can always put on enough clothes to protect against the weather. What I do mind is having a good cigar split down the middle. I assume from the dryness of the air. Anyone else ever have that happen? Is there any way to prevent it?

Very well said LedZep. I too find relaxation in a pipe. Cigars are also relaxing but they are better enjoyed with friends for some reason. The hobby is indeed a slippery slope but once you have puchased a decent rotation of pipes, I find the premium pipe tobaccos much more reasonable than...

Welcome to CP Eric. Have you tried the Key Largo. Very nice blend with a touch of cigar leaf. I think GL Pease is one of the premier blenders out there right now. Cornell & Deihl (sic) also makes some nice blends. Have you tried any of theirs?

Nice review of my "go-to" cigar. I also like em young. As a matter of fact I have yet to keep a box over six months. Also, very reasonably priced. I buy mine on the "devil site" $90/box of robusto.

I was disappointed by this one too. Not sure why but I suspect that the maduro is better in small doses (a wrapper). I found the MX3 very one dimensional.
