    Is it just me?

The last 1/3rd of the cigar is always the most enjoyable for me! To each their own I guess!

    I don't even need a humidifier

Buy yourself a walmart $7 digital. They work great. I have 4 of them and the worst of the 4 is 2% off based on my salt tests. Also, I think you mentioned you used the 50/50 solution on your beads. Try just distilled water. I have heard that stuff can ruin beads.

    Heartfelt Beads Issue

Add some more beads and it will rebound quicker after opening it. With a small humi, the RH will drop quick when you open it, but it should also return to normal quicker. You really can't use too many beads. The amounts shown on sites are usually the minimum. Try some of the ebay beads...

    Tupperdor and RH

Buy yourself some beads. Heartfelt, or the cheaper eBAY generic brands. I have both and both work the same. put them in a shot glass or small cup, put it inside the tuperware, and don't worry about a the RH, the beads will take care of it for you. If you have access to a piece of nylons...

    Cubao #4

This is my favorite cigar to date! I just bought a box of them the other night at a 601 event. Even got a cubao cutter, shirt, and a bonus 10 pk of sticks. Can't imagine them getting any better with age, but I am certainly willing to find out! I've got mine resting right now!

    5 Vegas Miami

5 Vegas Miami is one of my favorites for sure. I always have some of these on hand, and turn to them often. Great deals can be found on the CI site, or the cigarbid site. Can't go wrong with them.

    Sorry about my Avatar

My guess is, whoever compained about tha avitars being NSFW, probably would find that their boss wouldn't appreciate them hanging out on cigar forums while on the clock either. Personally, I like them! Just makes it more of a challenge while at work. LOL

    My turn

Lots of room in the coolidor! You know that the more sticks you put in there, the more stable it will become! LOL Nice choice with the Knob Creek too! Just bought a bottle of that myself!

    WHY Cuban Cigars?

Thanks everyone for the honest input on this topic! Very much what I expected to be honest! Seems like from the majority of the responses, the "forbidden fruit" concept seems to be a large part of the CC draw! However, that being said, I have heard some very interesting facts from a couple...

    WHY Cuban Cigars?

OK, first of all, forgive me if this has been covered before, I tried a search but nothing really came up that answered my questons. I fairly new to cigar smoking, and like everyone here and on other forums predicted, it's become more of an obsession than I expected. I just want to know...

My Humidor just arrived - Have some questions

I have had good luck with the Wally hygros. I have 4 of them. 3 of them are within 1%, the worst I have reads 72 - 73% when salt tested. If I can get that close for $6, sign me up! Another nice thing about the Wally ones, if I get one that is too far off the mark, I just take it back...

My Humidor just arrived - Have some questions

Get yourself a digital hygrometer from Walmart for $6, and order some beads online. The analog hygrometer won't be accurate, so it's basically for decoration. If the humidifier comes apart, remove the green floral foam inside and replace with beads. If not, take it out and throw it in a...

    Lighters and cutters

The tools I used 90% of the time are my cheap Ronson $2.88 torch from Walmart and a cheap plastic 2 blade cutter that I received in a sampler deal. Both work very well. I have a more expensive cutter, (don't remember the brand) which doesn't do half the job of the cheap plastic one. I do...

    Cigar Hygrometer Question

Like smokintexas said, leave that one for decoration, bet yourself a cheap digital from Walmart.

Just received my very first humidor, have a couple questions.

I didn't wipe mine down, I heard too much about warpage and stains to your cedar lining. I put a couple of small glass bowls filled with distilled water in my humi, but before I did, I put them in the microwave just long enough to warmt hem up and cause a small amount of steam to come off of...

    Cigar bar etiquette?

When I go to a cigar bar I always buy a stick or two. I usually try to smoke something I've never tried before. As others have said, if I go to a bar that serves alcohol, I will smoke my own and buy a drink.

Is this the only way to calibrate a built in hygrometer?

What ^^^^^ he said! Only for decor! Just get yourself a cheap digital from walmart for $7 and keep it inside for accuracy.
