1950 Monte #3

Incredible review, and photos! Intrigued by the tight, white ash. What in its aging causes that, as CCs are typically flaky and gray?

I second (third?) the admiration of the poker. That's really cool, and a thoughtful gift.

I’m sure you’ve got a cigar or two like that Jason. 😉

I'm not sure what I got anymore, cigars or otherwise. I guess that's the defining characteristic of a FOG. For me personally, my experience with smoking the unobtainium type cigar has generally been disappointing. I'm content smoking regular production smokes with 2-5 years on them. I love to read reviews like these where the smoke met expectations. Gives me hope!

JASON!!!! Good to see you slipping around the old school yard again.

My brothers and I call the 'Grandma's attic' smell/taste of old CC 'musty basement'...so I get what you're saying. Glad to hear it faded a few puffs in...I've had cigars I've bought at auction that didn't lose that characteristic through half of the cigar.

Great review Bill...LOVE the taste of the previous generation Cuban seed!
