Blu-bacon dip AKA "Crack in a bowl"

Making a double batch this weekend. I wonder if I can survive till the Superbowl....

In the annals of mankind many discoveries have been made by accident. Such is the case with Crack 2026

I've always been good with math so when I hit something that doesn't quite seem right I'll take the time to figure it out. Now I've been making crack for decades, hundreds of batches all with Habanero hot sauce. Not this year. This year I decided to try some Ghost pepper sauce. Figuring that my Hab sause is about 360,000 units and my GP is 1,000,000 I need to use 1/3rd as much.

Fast forward - everything is done except for adding the hot sauce so I break out my trusty measuring spoon and say OK I need 3 times as much and put in 3 teaspoons of Ghost pepper sauce in the bowl, mix it up and put it in the fridge. Tonight I thought I'd better taste tet it - you know - for quality control. Welllll nobody is going to help me eat it. my eyes watered, my nose ran and if I was smoking my face would have caught fire.

So what did I discover? NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!

Luckily I had enough stuff to make another batch with no hot sauce and mixed the two together. It's still hotter than normal but most will still eat it.
