No one has, nor will anyone call you a "whore" if I have anything to say about it. If they do, I'll be the first to jump to your defense. I find it reprehensible that anyone would use the word "whore" as a derogatory term towards a woman. That is damn near as bad as calling a woman the "C" word... That falls into the "respect" category others (including Emo) have pointed out.

That being said - it is DEFINITELY not used in the same context, nor same meaning, as "Attention Whore" or "Gurkha Whore" (as AVB suggests). To me - that is acceptable banter on a cigar board. Get over it, Cheekie - it's seriously not what you're trying to make it out to be...
 
Wow. This thread is still going strong. Cheekie, you seemed to be a very nice person in chat (albeit brief). I am sorry you got offended. I did not even new that your pic was posted but what an added vista! <---meant to be a compliment

The term is what offends, so you ask and then say " get over it"
What I have asked is simple-
I would rather not be called anything remotely resembling a whore- attention, post, chocolate, shoe, designer... or anything else you can throw infront of it to make it socially more pallatable
 
Hmmm.. I was going to read this entire thread, then I got to the part about looking at Cheekie's profile picture and had to stop reading.... I have just finished and thought I'd type this little response before cleaning up. Now, could you please post another similar one in about 15 minutes?? I should be all ready to go again at about that time. Then repeat every 15-20 minutes for the next day or two. I'm taking some time off work.....

Yes lots of bombs have gone out, I set up my first humi on the 28th- I have yet to make any box purchases and still working through my first batch of cigars, Thus no bombs have gone out. But, in a previous topic I do remember that I was told that I was not supposed to bomb because I was bombed.. That the bombs were not to be REPAID to those who sent them.

... which is it?
 
can't we all just get a long. i am sure this misunderstanding and mis-feelings can be resolved with a few cigars amongst us. :D

The best way to avoid being referred to as an "Attention Whore" is not to be one. We both know that's not going to happen chesty... er... cheekie so this is just going to be one of those things that is what it is. You take a great deal of pleasure in exposing yourself to get a reaction so... enjoy the reaction and move on to your next stunt.

Cheekie, it is meant to be paid forward, not necessarily to those that bombed you. If you like what someone has posted or if someone shows the kindness to another that was showed you then you can bomb them. Or if you just get a wild hair and say hey I am gonna bomb someone.

However if all you have in your humi is what you have been bombed, I wouldn't send those out in a bomb.
