Cuban Smooban

I prefer the small boutique burger joints. There's a nice little place next to some tracks in town called Choo Choos. They make a nice flavorful 1/2 lb. Michigan puro. The charbroiled taste is complemented well with a milk shake giving off hints of chocolate and vanilla. ;) LMAO
Are you sure that isn't hints of roasted Madagascar Vanilla?

Here in SoCal the chain joint is IN-N-OUT Burger! Fresh pattys, fresh cut fries, and fresh shakes. The menu has Burger, Double-Double, and a Triple Stack! You can even go off menu and order 4x4's, and 5x5's. The standard garnishment is lettuce, tomato, onion (raw or grilled), and 1000 island on the bun. Buns are toasted on the grill. If you like your burger loaded, you can order it animal style (double everything).

But, the best burger in town is at Sunnymead Burger (my local Hot Rod 50's style burger stand). A double cheeseburger with pastrami. oh yeah!!!!!!! Two 1/2 pound patties, 4 slices of greasy assed cheese, all topped with about a 1/2 pound of pastrami!! You get so many fries you can't finish 'em, and Onion Rings........forget that little paper sleeve, they fill a whole bag!!

Allofus123...........and steaks........a little dark hole-in-the-wall in Riverside, CA called Art's Bar & Grill. Great steaks, big baked tators, and a two drink minimum. the Long Island Ice Teas require a designated driver! Just a 'splash' of Cola for color!

Damn!! I'm hungry......Tonight after my son's baseball game...........I'm thinkin' one of those Double Cheeseburgers with Pastrami.......some Onion Rings........and a tall Cherry Lemonade. To be topped off with an LGC Serie R #5 for desert.

Slobbering and frothing,

M. Gipson :p

Pastrami? 1/2 pound of pastrami? That's insane.

However, your ideas intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. :D

As far as steaks go - the best steak I ever had wasn't in DC - but in Milwaukee - and it was so good it's still the only one I ever rave about:

Butch's Old Casino Steakhouse... I've never had meat that tasted this good. I often get the urge to go back to Milwaukee just to get the steak at Butch's - and I gotta tell ya - there wasn't much else in Milwaukee to bring me back (with the exception of a spy-themed bar called the SafeHouse - which, if I had my way, would be picked up in whole and transplanted to DC... preferably in my neighborhood...)

I've eaten steak at every steakhouse in DC, but Butch's ruined it for me...

Man talk about thread jacking......... LMAO ;) Two great discussions in one thread how can you beat this

We have a new boutique burger joint up here called "FatBurger" that has been wowing everyone but for that late night burger getaway I like to head over to Dick's Drive In 2 convenient locations to serve you Broadway and one on 45th.

Hmmmm good.

BenjieV :D

Oh and on the other issue sometimes I feel like a cuban sometimes I don't somedays its a dominican somedays its a nicarauguan but that's what I like about smoking cigars I love the variety ;)

In-N-Out is in the news today along with all of the "secret" menu items you can get.

Read about it here.

GO MILWAUKEE!

Oak, you should visit MIlw. this summer.
MIlwaukee has been improving a lot lately, more bars, clubs, places to eat, as well as a new wing of the art museum designed by Santiago Calatrava!

Well, that and I'll be working at the Safe House again this summer [promise I'll let you in w/out the password. :D ]

Best burger I ever had was in St. Paul, MN.
it is called the "jucy nookie", a tasty hamburger filled with hot cheese in the center [kinda looks like a perfecto].

second, the "fatty patty pounder" here in St. Peter, 1 lb. of hamburger, cheese, 4 strips of bacon and a ton of fries. so good you will not eat for a day after!

Rod...since this relates to Double Doubles....I thought I'd top it.

People are bored at work today and want chesseburger talk.

Whatever happened to, 'we need more boobies' threads!

Oh...Ted's steamed cheeseburgers(Meriden, CT....lettuce, mayo onion!
Or
Harry Burgers - no, not that kind - Harry's Drive In, Colchester CT ...with a side of rings and a shake!

Take this to the food sub forum, what have you no shame?

Gary, if you're taking a generic psychotropic medication, perhaps you should ask your physician to write "no generics" on your script. Sometimes the tighter tolerances of a name brand can make all the difference.
