"Four Aces" - New to Forum

As you can tell by now this place can be some what of a freek show but all are very cool!!! this is the place to be.

My guess is you've been at the table with another member here, though he rarely posts anymore, poker. He hosts a herf every Saturday evening in Gardena and like his screename, plays poker as much as he can. :)

Formerly in the oil patch myself back during the boom..and during the crash. Neither were a pretty site :) When I move out to Midland, there was a 6 week waiting list for an apartment....anywhere. When I moved back home to DFW, it was a month long wait for a U-Haul truck or trailer. :D Aaahhhhh, those were the days.

Yep, lots of horror stories in the oil patch. I remember folks in Houston running away from mortgages. Just packed up and left. Pull up a U-haul, fit in what you can, and drive away. Usually back to Michigan! :D :D

The traffic did get better, at least for a while. :D

Nope. But gosh if there is another casino poker player here, I sure would like to meet him. Lousiana is the closest for me to get a live game, but the fact is that Gardena is the poker capital of the world.

Mrs. Four Aces is a pretty good card player also.

Lower....LLLLLOOOOOOOOOWERRRRRRR! But that's just my opinion.

Oh, and when you put your thumb through their chricoid membrane, do you have to keep it in there to choke them in order to kill them? I'm think'n if you don't, they just end up with a second blow hole. Unless you have gone too low, crich(sp?) them and they choke on blood.........I'm reading in to this too much, aren't I?

I was in his native land last on April 11, 2002 dodging bullets. Not a very pleasant day for Caracas with the coup/counter-coup. My business is about dead over there now, and I don't see a recovery for a while. :(

Thanks for the welcome. I really didn't expect such a friendly response from everyone. :) Just trying to return the greetings to the individual posters as a courtesy.

I'll put a link in my bio so y'all can put a more recent face to my notes. I am on "holiday", which is why I have the time to do this right now. Usually my business winds down in early Dec and does not start back up until mid Jan. Not necessarily a good thing for the revenue picture. :(

Thanks everybody for the greetings. :)

Current pics are posted on yahoo, you can see I am older now than in the pic with "The Gipper". If you click on the www box below, it will take you to the yahoo photos site. There is an option there called "slide show" which enlarges the pics and then takes you thru the album. That's me and Mrs. "Four Aces". So now you can put a more current face to my posts.

Well folks, that completes my introduction, and thanks again for the kind responses and laying out the welcome mat [and other greetings received via PM].
