Personally I love James Cagney, some of my favorites are

The Public Enemy
Angels with Dirty Faces (truely a classic)
White Heat

Other classics are

Little Cesear with Edward G Robinson
The original Scarface-The shame of a Nation, George Raft was awesome
Dead End with the East Side boys is also worth checking out.

Damn this thread reminds me of a rainy Sat. afternoon watching TV when I was a kid

I also like the Sopranos series, a mobster story with a more subtle touch of humanity. :laugh:
