So I have signed up for the "Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee" (GVRAT). The race runs from May 1 to Aug 31 and is about 1000km long. I know it is more, I just can't remember from last year how much further, only when I hit 1000km and it didn't say finished the thought of "Well, $#@!$^%#*&". So the contest is for anyone foolish enough to sign up, the first three who beat me across the state will get a 5-er from Switzerland and some local chocolate. Race cost about 60 to enter, you'll get a shirt and a belt buckle from the organizer when you finish. You'll also be able to talk smack to just about anyone, except crazy runners, because you will have covered 621 miles over the summer. PM me your name and I'll verify entry on the race sign up page.
Edit to Add:
1. I finished this SOB last year; however, this year I have two ultras scheduled in the time frame, one in Mississippi and one here in the Alps. So if you aren't signing up for this sillyness. Guess the date and final distance when I finish, the closest to reality is the winner. Did not finish (DNF) is valid entry I might break myself.
2. Anyone who signs up and Kann beats, owes him a fiver.
I will say when you look back on what you've done it a Holy Sh@! moment.
