How stupid have we become?

My favorite are the medication commercials that tell you not to take them if you're allergic. 🤦‍♂️
I find it a little bit disconcerting that there are TV commercials and radio commercials for medication.

Can you imagine people going to the doctor and saying "hey, I'd like to try that blah blah blah drug".

The fact of the matter is. All these new appliances are garbage. And they’re disposable. I had the same dishwasher and microwave from birth til 20 years old. I’ve replaced every single appliance in my new houses within 5 years. GE Profile in one. Mid line. Not that it matters cause they’re all made in the same few factories overseas. I digress. I bought top of the line Bosch dishwasher. Blah blah blah.

I quit the front load washers. They require maintenance to not let them mildew and leave the door open. They suck. I’ve gone back to the cheap appliances except for fridge, well kind of stove and microwave. lol.

But the older stuff and cheaper stuff is just as good. Cause you will be replacing within 4-7 years.

I did buy Costco washer dryer once. But supply chain shortages with the two year warranty did me no good. I had to do without a dryer for 8 months until the part came in. So whatever.

*pokes head in here, hi all!*

When we moved 10 years ago, we bought a new washer/dryer Samsung combo. I should be thankful it is still working and never had to have service come out, but it sucks compared to our old ones which I think were older Maytag models, and the washer had the center agitator instead of the stupid “swash plate” or whatever they call that thing.

Ours at least fills up enough to get whatever amount of clothes in there wet. So there is that. And it seems with the plate setup you can put more into it, which is fine, I guess. But it defies logic, at least to me, how that little plate can agitate everything enough to properly clean.

The placement of the exit tube for the washer is dumb as well. It doesn’t sit in the laundry tub quite right so the water runs back into the pump area which can cause mold and smells. I’ve yet to build a pipe off the bottom of the laundry tub to accommodate for the right angle for drainage. Partially because I’m lazy, and partially because if they made the damn thing right I wouldn’t have to.

All said, when these go, I will probably look at the speed queens first. I’ve been kinda waiting for these to die lol as they do make all kinds of racket at this point. So hopefully soon. That is of course unless I’m told to fix them. Which I’m sure would be less than cost effective.

Agree completely. Unfortunately you can't trust that doctors are up on current medication advances either with the awesome health care system we have.
