Netflix and other shows you are watching

I saw the Thunderbirds documentary pop up. Definitely on my "to watch" list... I was also wondering about Lilo & Stitch. I've been forever forced to watch the series as the kids all love Lilo & Stitch. Almost assured I will be watching it as the granddaughter has all of these kinds of movies on her continuous loop. I was not much interested in Moana (that's the little stinker in her Moana gear) as it played in the background innumerable times - but after our trip to Hawaii I decided to not ignore it as much as had. It was interesting to see the connection between the movie and the Pacific Islander culture as I'd experienced while in Hawaii. Hate to admit it and just between you and I - I am planning on sneaking a peek at Moana 2 and hoping it's not wildly different than the 1st movie...

Moana 2 while it was pretty good, has like 500% more musical numbers. Be warned ~30% of the movie is musicals....... I was honestly surprised I liked something from recent Disney even.

I haven't seen Moana 2 yet, through no active avoidance.

It appears that The Accountant 2 is streaming for free on prime. I don't know if it's for a limited time or anything. About to start it now to pass the time while I do some cardio. I enjoyed the first one so hopefully this one is good as well.

Oh yeah. The second Accountant is a good sequel. Enjoyed it at the theater.

Watching Kraven, The Hunter. No bad so far, will finish it tomorrow.

The Accountant is the film that gave me the mad opinion that Ben Affleck could be a great Jack Reacher. I can't complain about Alan Ritchson, though.

“Stick” (AppleTV+) has grabbed my attention because:

1) I like Owen Wilson because he makes me laugh
2) It’s a fun departure from the heavy dramas that I usually watch
3) It’s got a great soundtrack
4) It’s about golf
😁

Thanks for the reminder on this one!

It was OK, but the first one was much better IMO.

I can see how the sequel would be difficult. A good portion of the first one was gradually finding out all the details about the character and his operation. Now, we already know all of that so you can't rely on the slow reveal to keep things interesting.

I did laugh out loud in the bar scene when he said "My brother's not having a good time tonight, but now he will." 🤣

Working on Loudermilk before it gets pulled from Netflix at the end of the month.

Also getting caught up with Gofather of Harlem, BMF, and a few others that escape me at the moment lol

My wife binge watched the Better Sister with Elizabeth Banks and Jessica Biel...and she isn't one that typically binges on a show.

I've been watching the Clickspring channel on YouTube. It is like Bob Ross, MacGyver, and a Swiss clockmaker had a baby in New Zealand.

Very true observation, the reveal of the setup in the first one was a lot of the appeal. But, I knew what I was getting into with this one, and I did enjoy it, despite fewer surprises. I'd still recommend it, but I agree, one should not expect the reaction you had to #1, that's simply not possible.

I'm reminded of a review of Jason Statham's Working Man latest on IMDB, though. Viewer gave it a low score because, I'm paraphrasing, "HIs plots are all the same! Former military guy working a blue collar job, finds someone in distress or who has been wronged, and rains death and destruction down on the perpetrators."

My thought was, "Yeah, that's why I watch them. WTF were you expecting from a Jason Statham movie, you idiot?? Something different?" 😅 Not directing that comment at you, @rbbrock !! Just making an observation. A Jason Statham movie, while formulaic, is a lot of fun when I don't have anything else to watch and I want to watch JS rain death and destruction down on some bad guys. Kinda like the Equalizer series. Those are formulaic, but I LOVE them.

Anyway [/TLDR]

BTW, not all Jason Statham movies are the same. The Italian Job, or Hobbes & Shaw come to mind. But if you want to see him in a comedic role, look for

A spoof of the James Bond type film with JS, Jude Law, and Melissa McCarthy that is just brilliant, IMO. Really funny romp.

Just started Poker Face, a couple of really good episodes. Stellar guest actors.
