Sammy... you da man!
I get home from a mentally draining trip - dealing with an Alzheimer's relative, have a lousy day of flying, get in waaaay later than I was supposed to and when I get home, the wife says I have 4 boxes waiting for me. 4?!?!?!?! Lets see... one pass, 2 pass, one newbie trade... wait a minute... WHAT'S THE FOURTH? So naturally, I had to check it out, tired and drained as I was.

SammyP is the bomber... and beer was his bomb! I have never heard nor seen Rogue Chipolte Ale, but you been talkin' to someone!! I LOVE chipolte peppers, and beer. Combining them? Never thought of it, but I'm tellin' ya I cannot wait to try this out.

Thanks a ton... oh yeah.. the smokes are awesome too!

Simply return fire for the Alaskan Smoked Porter Jim sent me a while back. ;)

Hope ya like it, man! I love the stuff. Sorry you had a crappy trip.

YUM FRIGGIN' YUM!

Oh yeah... I'm gonna find more of this. To drink, AND it will make a killer beer battered halibut!

well, it did NOT have the same strong smokey flavor as the Alaskan Smoked Porter I love so much. And, it was not nearly as spicy as the Cave Creek chili beer that was out some years ago - that was the only thing that ever gave me heartburn.

But... it was a really nice compliment to both- it had a small smoke taste, and a small spicyness... nice and evenly balanced between the two. I really think this would make an awesome start to my beer battered halibut! Not a guzzle beer, and not one to drink multiple bottles of in a sitting... but a really nice beer to enjoy with dinner, or just a single beer for the night.

now just to see if I can get it locally!
