This is how it plays out exactly in the pass as we speak. I went ahead and listed what everyone put or took based on the list and the inventory of cigars, so that you had a clear pic of what might have happened. Let me know when and I have my P's and T's ready.

Jim

Then the cigars are as they should be.

TKoepp took the Padron 26 #1 Maduro.

Slight mis-numbering issue. No biggie.

I am having just a bit of difficulty determining the dollar amount for two of the cigars I would like-

RR Familia $-?
LFD 2007 BTTB Outlaw $-?

Can you help me out Jeff?

Jim

Alright here is my proposed p's and t's-

T #11 WOAM/P #62 Anejo #50
T LG Chisel/P #63 Opus X Super Belicoso
T LFD BTTB/P #64 Padron 1926 #9 maduro
T Tat Black/P Tat Havana VI No. 1 "West"

Let me know if I am way off and I will change it. :)

Jim

I would also like to add the RR Familia to the list-

T #11 WOAM/P #62 Anejo #50
T #43 LG Chisel/P #63 Opus X Super Belicoso
T #50 LFD BTTB/P #64 Padron 1926 #9 maduro
T #54 Tat Black/P Tat Havana VI No. 1 "West"
T #58 RR famailia/P AVO 787 (I thought I had an East, but don't)

That about does it.

Jim

Edit: to say I dod not have an east.

1 "West"
T #58 RR famailia/P AVO 787

That about does it.

Jim

1) Good.
2) Good.
3) Good.
4) MSRP/rarity do not match. Tatuaje Black @ $12, almost impossible to find right now -- and probably will be until April/May-ish. Tatuaje "West" @ $10.00 and very, very easy to find -- even below $10.00 at certain retailers.

5) ?? No idea about the RR familia. I know it's "rare" but MSRP is a crapshoot, considering smelly says he paid $6. Anyone care to be the judge?

The only reason I paid $6 for them was that the people at the shop didn't realize what they had, remember that the Party 150s in the same humidor were only $6 too. A well established member told me when I was thinking about buying these that he though ~$15 would be a reasonable price to pay. That being said, the toughest thing about finding a put for one of these is rarity.

Anyone want to throw some ideas out for what types of sticks my match the familia? I will modify the tat black put, but I have no idea on the familia.

Jim

So that there is no reason to believe I did not hit the mark with these lets do this-

T #11 WOAM/P #62 Anejo #50
T #43 LG Chisel/P #63 Opus X Super Belicoso
T #50 LFD BTTB/P #64 Padron 1926 #9 maduro
T #54 Tat Black/P #65 Casa Fuente Churchill
T #58 RR famailia/#66 La Aurora 100 Anos Churchill

I hope these work alright!!

An additional put below-

P #67 Opus X Perfecxion #2

Let me know!

Jim

Wow, very generous, Jim!

I hate to bust balls... but the pass already has a La Aurora 100 Anos Churchill @ stick #56. Unless putting the duplicate is completely unavoidable, please try to find a different stick.

For future Puts/Takes, let's try to avoid duplicates. Duplicate marcas are fine, but having duplicate vitolas of the same marca seems to promote redundancy as well as moderate unfairness and to the remaining passers. I'd just like to see a good variety to maintain fairness for everyone later in the pass. As I didn't make this a rule from the get-go (d'oh! still learning), your Put/Take on the Tat Coj 2k3 is fine, Justin. But for the future passers, please try to avoid putting in a duplicate, if it is at all possible. Admittedly, I'm somewhat of a Tatuaje whore :whistling: , so it really doesn't bother me if it makes it back to me.... But... you understand what I'm getting at.

Ah, your not busting my balls, this is about learning and pass etiquette right? Lord knows I need to learn about etiquette. Let's try this-

T #11 WOAM/P #62 Anejo #50
T #43 LG Chisel/P #63 Opus X Super Belicoso

T #58 RR famailia/#66 ESG 20 Year Salute Robusto

Sorry, didn't really get a chance to look last night. Considering the USPS isn't open on Sunday anyway -- no big deal.

Most of them look awesome (and very generous, thank you!) to me, but I'm still not 100% certain about the Ramon y Ramon. It's just such a rarity that it makes it difficulty to judge its value unless you've had experience with them before -- which I haven't. As smellysell put it:

A well established member told me when I was thinking about buying these that he though ~$15 would be a reasonable price to pay. That being said, the toughest thing about finding a put for one of these is rarity.

I'd love to hear input from everyone else -- perhaps someone can add a .02 that will give a proper assessment to this situation.

I'd say the $$$ for the ESG make up for the rarity IMO. I'd love to hear some FOG opinions though.

Completely understandable! I realize that the RR is rare, so I guess we will see. If people way in I would appreciate some examples that compare in rarity to this cigar. I may have another cigar that compares to this cigar. I think the ESG should about cover it, but what do I know :).

Does anyone else have feedback on the rarity of the RR and if the ESG will be sufficent for a put? Feedback would be much appreciated :).

Jim

My word ain't law, but I think it looks ok. I'm sure Jeff will be along soon though...

Edited to add:
Oops. Jeff already replied. I didn't see it there before posting. I agree with Smellysell.

I don't think value is equal to rarity and vice versa. Value for value, rarity for rarity. However, I'm not sure it's unfair to characterize the ESG as somewhat rare. It's a limited release and not every shop gets them. I almost never see them on the shelves.
