1998 Montecristo No 4
These are my go to cigars I’ve probably gone through 25 boxes since 1998. Although 98 was generally a crappy year every single box of these has been excellent in construction and flavor. I was able to buy a lot of these back in the day cheap. Long gone are those days but not the cigars.

Edit to add both are really good. The Alfonso is way better now then it was 6 months ago.

Post flu smoke. Still tasting a little bit of, but worthwhile nonetheless. I've actually gotten quite familiar with that taste over the years. To me all cigars both Connecticut and maduro, Sungrown (not sure if Cubans also apply) taste like a aged chocolate roasted oatmeal. Very interesting and distinct flavor. Anybody else had this experience or tasted something different.
