Today's Smoke 2025

That's about how I felt with the one ADV that I have had. I was impressed with the construction and it was objectively a good cigar, just not my preferred flavors. I will be curious to see what you think about the others!
I find this to be true for a lot of cigars today. Objectively there are a lot of good cigars, but they just don't stand out to me for one reason or other. Not an issue or a bad thing; in fact it is great that there are such a large number of good cigars! I just find it hard to buy a box of something that does not wow me now a days. Why buy something just because it is new, if it does not stand against a Padron Thousand series or a RomaCraft?

And with all these $20+ cigars, if they can't compete with a Byron or Atabey, why bother?

Kristoff Cameroon -Matador 6.5 x 56

Wrapper: Cameroon (duh)
Binder: Dominican Habano
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan Habano

Pretty decent medium bodied cigar, a little too dominated by tannic oak, but nice otherwise with sweetness, nut, spice, and moderate pepper.

My first Jalapa (viso) sample from the Rojas Cigar Specialist Vol. 1

Graham cracker, pepper and cedar. Really enjoyable cigar. A few of the single tobacco blends have been a bit boring, but this one smokes like a well blended cigar
