I really love the beer Jeff! The bourbon profile from the barrels does wonders for that ale.

I had a feeling it wouldn’t all hold up when I socked some away. That’s why I asked yesterday when you told me you were drinking a bottle. Fresh was amazing! It was like a dark chocolate raspberry bourbon truffle with a little vanilla in there somewhere.

@bfreebern has been after me to go to Aslin Brewing in my neck of the woods for some time now. I went there yesterday and picked up an assortment of NEIPA’s and Stouts. He wasn’t kidding when he said they are right up there with Trillium and Treehouse.

Very Green is one of my favorites they make!!


After a few Hardywood Gingerbread Stouts on tap at the brewery and an empty stomach I was acting like a fool. So we went to a local Richmond VA eatery, and what did I do...... I ordered a couple of Founders Redankulous on tap and acted even more of a drunk fool! ?

Hardywood Apple Brandy Gingerbread Stout.
Aslin 2018 Black Friday Variant with coffee, cocoa nibs, and vanilla (dangerously smooth). Then a 9 year old Boulder Beer Company Obovoid 30th Anniversary Oatmeal Stout. All were delicious!!!
