What's on your plate today?

You know that corned beef brisket was on sale - the day after Saint Patricks.

Looks good. My favorite soup is Menudo. It’s very similar to your dish!
Yea, there's this Mexican restaurant a guy that is my son's co worker who is Mexican referred him to in Richmond Virginia. It is definitely not Americanized. When we walk in we are always the only white people in there, and everyone kind of looks at us like "what are they doing here?". But, once we sit down to order and get through the language barrier, everyone is very friendly. The menudo is my favorite, and we go there specifically to get that. They only do it on weekends because it is apparently labor intensive to make. I also love their Gorditas with beef tongue.

What is the name of this place? I've tried menudo a few places in town, and I'd like to sample this one.

Just to show that I also cook food that looks nasty but tastes great: Venison stew with veggies over roasted cauliflower. The most surprising thing about this dish was how the radishes transformed in the pressure cooker. My wife had no idea what they were - she loved them even though she doesn't like raw radishes.

I'd never had them cooked, but my wife makes sauteed radishes. They're damn tasty!
