Bob says shipping to the PacNW is 4-5 days so if all plays out, I should have some photos of this baby in my home by this time next week.....

Thanks again, guys - B.B.S.

umm, that'll probably be me. still no good word for me :(

I am almost sure I got to see you cabinet a couple of weeks ago. I went with a friend to pick up his new one and Bob showed us around the shop and even pointed out one headed out your direction and another headed to Japan.

If so.....you are in for a real treat. Everything he showed us was top notch and were beautiful works of art! I wish that I would have remembered your order and I could have taken some picts for you to drool over. :D

ENJOY.

This just means you have more room for more cigars now :)

Well, the freight company called me today and asked if there would be someone home tomorrow. I said "HELL YES...!!!!..."......

I'll post pics once the beast is moved in and uncrated - B.B.S.

Well, it's been a busy day.....

Got started late this afternoon when a big truck showed up:

We got the monster in the garage and got the packing crate off. Bob packs these fantastically. Short of a low yield nuke or an errant fork lift, they are packed to make the journey. We left the outer wrapping on the humi for the move into the house:

Got it in the house, got the packing material removed, installed the electronics, and installed the humidity canisters. She's ready to start up now:

These pictures do no do justice to the finish and workmanship that goes into Bob's products. Just fantastic:

The final location for the cabinet. Really broke my heart to slide it into the corner and hide 3/4 of the beautiful wood, but this is the space I have so that's the space I used:

As I type this, the cabinet is purring away behind me. The three pelts took the temp right down to 68 in a couple of minutes. The instructions said to let it run dry for a day, then add water to the humidifiers. Two to three days after that, it's time to move in....

It's been a long trip but I feel like I've made an investment in a cabinet that will keep my cigars in pristine conditions at all times. Lots of peace of mind, to be sure. I am really happy the cabinet turned out the way it did. It's really beautiful......

Thanks to all for the nice comments along the way. You guys are all welcome here anytime for a look see and a smoke......

Best Regards - B.B.S.

Swwweeeetttt! That should last you a few month before its filled up :)

That is simply amazing. Can you describe the setup? Custom mods etc.... Is that 3 pelt fans and 2 humidifiers? More details please.

Marcos - thanks for the kind words. It went like this.....

Obviously, I had a fixed space to utilize, so I called Bob and started a dialog about a vertical cabinet that would use all the space I had. I wanted active cooling, as we don't have central air here in the PacNW. Doesn't get hot very often, and not for long when it does. In any event - I wanted active cooling. Once we got the size worked out Bob ran the numbers and said that while two pelts would do it, three wasn't a bad idea. I agreed. I did ask for a second singles drawer which you can see in the open door shot. Same on the humidifiers; one would have probably done it, but Bob added the second to lower the duty cycle of the humidifiers and increase the "add water" interval. The vertical nature of the cabinet is always a concern for air circulation, so Bob added three little re-circ fans. I believe two are tied into the Pelt coolers and one is tied into the humidifiers. Maybe the other way around....have to think about that one. Other than that, it's standard Staebell stuff....which is to say, a fantastic cabinet.

Thanks again - B.B.S.
