I don't play any online games, but I have friends who are addicted to that game like it was crack cocaine!

Ditto.

I stay away from it, because I KNOW I would get absolutely hooked. Already did that with Diablo once. Took my divorce, a move, and no access to the internet to get me to stop playing.

History of an addition: 1974-2005

Pinball ---> Pong ---> Asteroids ---> Defender ---> Atari ---> Zork ---> Various Infocom games ---> Flight Simulator ---> Marathon series---> Avara ---> Doom ---> Quake 2 ---> Quake 3 ---> Myth series---> Unreal ---> Homeworld ---> Half-Life/Counter Strike ---> Halo ---> Computer Gaming Wagon

can you say Evercrack ? My latest on-line addiction, Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source, as well as Battlefield 1942,Battlefield Vietnam, and the Desert Combat mod. :whistling:

I played WoW for about a month, but gave it up. Already addicted to Final Fantasy 11 online.

Glad I'm not the only VG junkie here. I don't do PC anymore since I got my Xbox. Is anybody here on Xbox live? Wanna get some easy kills in Halo 2? Play with me!!

JK

I played Everquest for 3 years before I quit cold turkey. My buddies all play WoW but I just dont have the time to sink into a game like that anymore. I have a 10 year old son so I have an Xbox and PS2 as well. Makes it nice when I want to buy games because I can use the excuse, man I think Cole would like this game. Keeps the wife off my back some. Me and my friends are also into table top gaming as well. We play Warhammer, 40K, Mechwarrior, and MageKnight. It gives me something to do in the winter when softball season is over.

Love the history of addiction by the way: Mine goes something like this:

Karate Fighter ---> Combat/Adventure (2600)---> Star Raiders (2600) ---> A game like star raiders, only you loaded it from a cassette (Supercharger?) ---> Rip Off ---> Space War ---> donkey kong ---> Defender ---> Pinball---> Deadlock ---> Streets of Rage (Genesis) ---> San Francisco Rush (N64) ---> The talking fish game on Dreamcast ---> Halo ---> Earth 2150 -- GTA: Vice City ---> Halo 2 ---> Cigars!

JK

I play video games now and then. I have an XBox, and I play on Live under the handle "Backordered". I'm usually playing racing games, but sometimes online poker or Halo.

I don't have a very addictive personality, though, so I would say that I only play about 3 days every two weeks.

I still have a N64 (only because it was a free housewarming gift).

I went from Pong > ColecoVision Adam (Buck Rogers on tape) > Atari 2600 > 8086 Computer (Lesiure Suit Larry, Moebius, etc) > Super Nintendo > SFII (All Varients) > MK2 and 3 (all varients) > N64 (Mario Kart 64) > Dungeon Keeper > Hitman Series > Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon Series > Impossible Creatures > Thief: DS > Evil Genius.

Never been into online games (spent the last 7 years overseas with Dialup - which is not conducive to play) and hate 1PS games.

I've been a video game junkie my whole life. I'm happy to see there are others here that share (or shared) my addiction. Atari started it all for me. Pitfall, asteroids, frogger, etc. I was a SF2 machine. Now I'm a Tekken machine. Just started PC gaming about 2 years ago. Been playing final fantasy 11 for about 2 years now. O.O

After Quake 2 and Diablo 2, no more multiplayer online games. I've wasted far too much time already playing these games. The new ones are better looking, improved gameplay, and of course, even more time consuming. No thanks.

I still do play the occasional single player games... sports games and RPGs like the classic Final Fantasy games.

I would argue that in some ways, Quake 2 was the ultimate multiplayer game. It was just so much damn fun. I worked in an office back then of about 40 people and a majority of them were addicted to the game. We would order beer and pizza once a week and play on the LAN, screaming at each other at the top of our lungs. It was a total hoot. I was untouchable with the railgun BTW. :)

I think my addiction went something like

Final Fantasy 1 > Final Fantasy 2 > Final Fantasy 4 > Final Fantasy 7 > Final Fantasy Tactics > Final Fantasy 5 > Final Fantasy 6 > Final Fantasy 9 > Final Fantasy 10 > Through in Quake 1 and 2 somewhere in the mix.

Ive stopped playing vids. cuz once FF12 comes out, my life will be over. I should probably start finding a way too play playstation and smoke cigars together....looks like Ill be moving the tv out to my future smoke shack.

NONE OF YOU STAND A CHANCE AGANIST ME AT HALO.....

Sorry, I just play it way too much!
