Today's Smoke 2020

Danno, the MadMonk and I first bonded over our shared love of Frank Llaneza's Villazon smokes from his old factory in Danli, Honduras. I've never met anyone who had such a fantastic palate. After a few years of talking about our shared tastes, we realized we ran in similar professional circles--me flying SOF aircraft for the Air Force and he working for a contractor for mostly SOF aircraft in Warner Robbins, GA. I tresured his friendship & relished in his sharing of his vast cigar knowledge. Not a Cigar Pass login goes by where I don't think about him, his son, or the profound influence he had on my as a cigar smoker.

Tonight's stick is an Illusione Haut 10. I don't know if he ever had the opportunity to try one, but I think he would have enjoyed it. Miss you, Danno.

Something new that Small Batch sent in their monthly offering. Campesino reserva del padre. Flavor wise not too bad, def in the medium category mild-med as far as strength goes. Lots of burn issues where I had to touch up From what understand these boys have been in the business only 4-5 years so they still have some learning ahead of them. Curious what others think that tried this.

Holy hell. Smoking this reminds me of the college days when I needed some side money quickly. All joking aside, this was an awesome smoke from a brother and is very creamy and smooth, very nice cigar. Posting this, I’m 1/3 of the way through, and may grab me a little bite of something to make it through the rest lol148234C7-89A7-4A8D-A1FE-2E9DDA053BB2.jpeg

I have never tried this wrapper. Let us know how it was
Got busy so just now getting to it and I see what smellysell was talking about the hint of grass, but I have to say it’s not that bad. Although this has to be the mildest cigar I have ever smoked. I would say this could be the perfect beginners cigar. I could see having a couple on hand if you ever had some guest over and someone that doesn’t smoke Is there but doesn’t want to be left out... The construction of the cigar is good, burn is good...

Glad you had a better experience than me. I smoked one candela ever, and will never do it again. Can't remember which one it was, but no thanks.
