Happy Thread

I completed our full two mile regular walk around the village with Enzo tonight. Sure, we were so slow that I ran into my wife on the way home because she went out to try and find us, but I made the whole thing -- pretty big thing for me considering that two weeks ago I didn't know when I'd ever be able to get out of a wheelchair again.

Great news Nick, keep pushing!

That’s fantastic!!

Love that my wife is a seamstress. Tore a pocket of my jacket most of the way off on a branch today and my wife already has it sewn back on.
I once sewed a button back on a pair of pants. The sense of accomplishment I had from that made we wish I had the seamstress skills that my mom and grandma had. It’s a lost art. That is awesome.

Spent two awesome weeks hunting in the Allegheny National Forest. @jfields was supposed to join me but had a last minute plan change. We got 14 inches of wet heavy snow when I was there by myself. There is an open grate iron bridge, with no sides, on my sons property, across a ravine, I have a 1979 F-150 which is lifted and I don't mind saying that driving through these limbs blind was a bit interesting even though I knew there was bridge on the other side.

On the other hand, I allowed a friend to hunt from my stand here in Ohio and he shot this 12 point with split brow tines (very rare).

Very nice, that's a six point though. 😜

I had Home Ec in 8th grade, so I learned a little sewing back then and have used it randomly since. I've used it the most, sewing ribbons on ballet shoes.
