Who or what is that in your Avatar?

That's me pointing at a high point vent installed on one of our Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) seal leak off lines. This was the first "major" modification I did at our plant. The only reason adding vents was "major" was because it fulfilled regulatory requirements that we had committed to. Being my first "major" mod I had to get a picture to commemorate a job well done. Not to mention, not many people get to have their picture taken next to a RCP.

Mine is me having an OpusX on Thanksgiving day a couple years ago, while waiting for the turkey to fry. It's the best excuse for a cigar ever, I have to watch the fryer for 45 minutes. And I own a muffler shop, hence my name.

My boat coming out of the water for the winter. Boat in the water for the summer avatar.

My Halloween costume a couple of years ago, inspired by:
"I put on my robe and wizard's hat"

My devilish girlfriend and I on the NYC to Chatham, NJ train Halloween night in 2010. It was a great night!

Aha. Finally got one to upload! That's my son enjoying a frost brewed, cold Coors Light. (ok, well maybe my brother-in-law gave him the empty for the photo op)

Awesome! He looks like he can hang... You and your son should stop down and drink some beers and smoke some stogies with the CCCC sometime!

There's a compass to represent our actions being circumscribed keeping us within due bounds. An all seeing eye - HE is ever watchful of our thoughts and deeds. The slogan "Virtus Junxit Mors Non Separabit" - which means "Whom virtue unites, death will not separate" A square - to square our actions. And a skull and bones to ever remind us the cradle and grave exist side by side.

To those of you who immediately recognize the meanings - I wish you safe travels to the East. But more importantly - it seemed so fitting for me AND the community of members we have within CigarPass.

A long time ago, the generic Facebook profile pic was a the silhouette of a dude against a blue background. A dear, departed board member posted a Batman one for some reason, and I used it as a placeholder until I could get something better. He commented that he liked it, and I left it up. After I found out he had passed, it just felt wrong to ever change it.

The photo is Shelby, our fourth pug, taken about 2012. Shelby passed in 2018 just caused she was old. We started on pugs in 1972, and have had one until we lost Shelby. 46 years of pugs, so Pugman seemed like a logical choice. Any resemblance to me is purely coincidental. 🐶🐶🐶

I went down the rabbit hole with this thread seeing guys that haven't posted on CP in years. I do photography as a hobby so my avatar is almost always somewhere I've been. Since I'm from St. Louis I usually have something from the area. I took this image of the Gateway Arch on July 4, 2021, and manipulated it in Lightroom. To drive (@modo22[/USER) crazy I change it often, LOL

As some of you already know, I named my dry box "The Chokey" in reference to a kids movie from the mid 90's called Matilda. Where a tyrannical principle puts her students in a small room (The Chokey) where they can only stand and if you make one false move you will be poked by the spikes that are coming from all directions. The movie is quite funny, if you have children I highly recommend it.

OMG - Matilda was one of my kids' favorite movies! We still talk about it as my grandkids are just now starting to watch those movies with interest.

And I did not even see the connection until you posted it!
